Nutrition staffing for facilities in all 50 states (Contact us: ☎️267-241-7242 or 💻kim@nutritionremedyrds.com)
The way you speak and document about someone you care for in your facility is crucial. If you paint a picture of them "being difficult" or "being noncompliant", this can highly affect how they are treated throughout the entire facility and other places they may be transferred to. As a healthcare professional, I understand that documenting the FACTS is crucial, yet we always want to make sure we stick to the truth vs our own biases. It's easy to forget where that line is when going through everyday care, but definitely should be thought about consistently. At Nutrition Remedy RDs | Staffing Services, we 💜 providing nutrition for the ones you care for in your community while providing them with the most dignity and respect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you need to hire a nutrition professional for your facility? Experience composed of creating seasonal menus in the hospitality industry, onboarding/developing/promoting staff, and controlling costs while ordering food and other materials for kitchens throughout Metro Atlanta.
“Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food”- Hippocrates I’ll never stop educating myself in my craft. One thing that I’ve learned from meal planning for athletes and various clientele with different dietary restrictions is that, “what you put into the body is what you get out.” Knowing things such as which foods are auto inflammatory, the process of how food breaks down in the body and knowing which foods are natural blood thinners are amongst the wealth of nutrientional facts that I’ve gained along the way. Are you in need of weekly/monthly meal planning, interested in a private chef or just need a hand in navigating the best ways to clean eating without sacrificing taste or breaking the bank? Let’s chat.

🌙 Ramadan is a time of fasting for many of us staff and patients. Here are some oral health tips to keep in mind during this blessed month: 1️⃣ Hydration: Decreased saliva production during fasting hours can contribute to dry mouth, which can increase the risk of tooth decay and bad breath. Drink plenty of water during non-fasting hours to prevent dry mouth and maintain saliva production, which helps protect your teeth. 2️⃣ Brush and floss regularly: Maintain your oral hygiene routine, brushing your teeth at least twice a day and flossing once a day, especially after iftar (evening meal) and suhoor (morning meal). 3️⃣ Choose nutritious foods: Opt for foods that are rich in essential nutrients such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to support oral and general health and keep you sustained throughout the day. 4️⃣ Limit sugary and acidic foods: Minimise consumption of sugary and acidic foods and beverages, as they can contribute to tooth decay and erosion. 5️⃣ Visit your dentist and hygienist: Schedule a dental check-up and hygiene appointment before or after Ramadan to address any oral health concerns and ensure your smile stays bright and healthy throughout the fasting period. Wishing you all a blessed Ramadan filled with good health and spiritual growth! #RamadanTips #OralHealth #FastingAwareness 🦷🌟 #hydration #drymouthtips

If you and your team are confused about what is going on with a resident or patient based on the documentation, then CMS and Joint Commission will too. Making sure your documentation is clear and concise takes practice, but it's essential. State agencies should be able to see the issues someone has with the timely interventions without having to go through pages of documentation with a confused look in their face. 🤔 --------------------------------------------------------- Hi I'm Kim My team and I 💜 providing the best nutrition care for your communities. ⏩ expert nutrition professionals (Registered Dietitians, Executive Chefs, Certified Dietary Managers/Food Service Directors, Registered Dietetic Technicians) ⏩ all 50 states ⏩ personalized services for your specific facility #healthcare #education #university #longtermcare #seniorliving #hospitals #nutrition #staffing

1. The most shocking because everyone around me always comments about me eating healthy (or they used to) is how little REAL food I ate. When coming up with meals I was struggling. Thinking about my go-to meals, 80% of it was off the menu when doing the elimination diet. I’d been flipping the 80/20 rule 2.- How much harder it is to get protein when you’re vegetarian and on this diet for a few weeks. Do veggies have protein? Yes, but without eggs, dairy, or soy many of those sources were gone. Protein is the building blocks of our body and while we can manage without carbs and basically without fat, we can not manage without protein. Without protein you will find yourself very tired and difficult to reach satiety *the elimination diet should be done working with a provider and is not a great idea for anyone with an eating disorder* #foodislife #foodaddiction #eliminationdiet #foodreactions #foodsensitivities #foodallergies #makechanges #healthjourney #2024resolutions

This is why we do it. Performance nutrition recommendations are much more than “macros”. We must consider affordability, culinary ability, food familiarity, maintainability, relatability and underlying health concerns, history of eating disorders/disordered eating. Being an athlete, and/or obtaining a nutrition coaching certificate is NOT equivalent to the education required to be a registered dietitian and board certified specialist in sports dietetics. #clinforthewin #sportsnutritioninfofromthosethatdoknow #fuelsofengagement
