🚗 Think Outside the Fuel Tank 🚗 Recently, while on a trip to California, John Ciarlone, Wheels Sr. Project Manager, decided to turn the tables on himself and view charging from the standpoint of an EV driver. 🔋🔌 He realized that it required a shift in mindset to avoid the dated perspectives from which he steers his clients. 10,000 ELECTRIC miles down and many more to go. As a first time EV driver, it has had its ups and downs. But I’d rather be a part of the change for the future in an ever growing green industry. #electricvehicle #ev #ford #fordlightning #evinfrastructure

Driving to Inverell today I lost count of the number of diesel trucks ……. Including at least 20 that puked out huge diesel black clouds when they accelerate. Transport companies are not to blame - as diesel is the only real current solution. Technology leading companies like NewVolt and Nexport need additional government support to get decentralised EV charging infrastructure in place so the gradual weaning off diesel can take place - especially in remote areas (not just Metro). Excellent Boston Globe Media article about the transition to #EVs. To eliminate #rangeanxiety, there needs to be sufficient infrastructure to ensure and EV can get charged quickly and easily. This requires a significant upgrade of the electrical grid. Federal #bipartisaninfrastructurelaw funds will be available for states to speed up development of #fastcharging stations along freeways and major roads. #cleanenergytransition

More Americans are seeing the value of driving an EV, plus what that means for the climate, their savings and our economy. To meet the demand, we will continue to invest in our EV battery supply chain and build out President Biden's made-in-America charging network.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is confident more Americans will love electric vehicles

Electric vehicle adoption in Australia is rapidly growing, but are we ready?🚗 Australia’s light vehicle EV sales more than doubled year on year between 2022 and 2023. With some states targeting a ban on internal combustion engine car sales by 2035, we have work to do to ready our infrastructure, policies, and regulations. Combining cross-sector and global expertise, our response to the Australian Federal Government’s inquiry into the transition to electric vehicles sets out priorities for the effective implementation of commercial and residential charging infrastructure, how to embed micro-mobility modes in the transit landscape safely, a transition to zero emission bus fleets, and how a low-carbon fuel sector will support electrification broadly. 🚲🚌 Read the submission 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gZ8MYWPN #SustainableLegacies #EnergyTransition #ElectricVehicles
