Accelerating positive sustainability impact through sector collaboration is a key topic for CPOs. At the recent World Procurement Congress we shared exciting concrete examples from three leading companies in this field - Heineken, Kraft Heinz and Air France KLM. A few examples from aviation: joint working on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (with at least 75% less CO2 impact) to become more available and at an affordable prices by setting up a SAF fund and pilot projects for Power-to-Liquid SAF, the annual Flight challenge in which 20 airlines will perform this year for the 3rd year flights in the most sustainable way and then compare/share innovation between them (https://lnkd.in/eK3jHx2u) and the set-up of the Sustainable Airlines Initiative, to drive together a more systemic transformation towards more responsible supply chains (https://lnkd.in/eA_bzhtS).

🌍✨ 100% Emissions Reduction in Towage in Australia! At Höegh Autoliners, we keep driving the future of sustainable shipping forward. Last week, our Höegh Aurora made her maiden voyage to Australia, marking a significant milestone for green achievements in our industry. 🚢 Supported by Svitzer’s innovative EcoTow product, the Höegh Aurora enabled Australia's first-ever low-carbon towage service. By using carbon credits from hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) biofuel, this groundbreaking towage achieved a 100% emissions reduction. Onboard, a fleet of EVs destined for the Australian market added to the sustainability success, making this voyage a great example of greener logistics. Sebjørn Dahl, Chief Operations Officer, shared: “Höegh Autoliners is fully committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. This collaboration with Svitzer demonstrates how innovation and partnerships can further reduce the carbon footprint of our customers’ value chains." 🌊 Höegh Aurora continued her journey by celebrating New Year’s at sea on her way to China!
