Last week, Rhys Morton and Ben Nash attended the launch of an exciting new development in Bristol : Brabazon, by YTL developments. At 380 acres, this is one of the largest brownfield developments in the UK and will create a whole new side of Bristol. The development will house 6,000 new homes, 3 Million sq ft of commercial space, student accommodation and at its heart, a state of the art 19,000-capacity arena, connecting people via a new train station. The event was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London to launch the new project and was attended by people from across the industry and included the Malaysian prime minister! Brabazon is a brand new housing and lifestyle development in Bristol, inspired by Concorde: its been called the new playground for Bristol’s next generation combining housing, open space and social activities. Designed by award-winning architects and set on a network of 'living streets' of landscaped green spaces, “We were delighted to have been invited to this launch event and are very excited to be involved in this innovative project going forward” commented Rhys, managing director for Whitehead.
