Head of Practice, Academic Innovation at Academic Impressions: Servant Leader, Eternally Optimistic Educator, Disruptive Creative Thinker, Storyteller, Polymath in training

Today's message in Brad Montague's The Enthusiast email hit hard and was exactly what I needed to hear. In the off chance you don't follow Brad, but come on why wouldn't you be following him, I have attached his permission slip for your use. It's time we break free from the confines of traditional academic boundaries and embrace the power of creativity in our work! Here is permission to think outside the box, experiment with new teaching methods, approaches to how we do our work, and foster innovation in our educational institutions. Last week Academic Impressions hosted Essential Leadership Skills for Deans in Denver and I had the privileged to lead several sessions. Attendees experienced the power of LEGO® Serious Play® and Design Thinking/Collaborative Practices in leading change at their institutions. Attendees left excited to return to their campuses and explore these new found techniques (skills) with their team. Only through embracing creativity can we inspire our students, staff, faculty and fellow leaders to drive meaningful change, and make a lasting impact on the future of education. Together, let's unleash our creativity, challenge the status quo, and transform higher education into a vibrant hub of innovation and inspiration that is so desperately needed today. DM if interested in learning how to incorporate creativity into your meetings and empower your team whether on your campus or by attending one of our future conferences. #HigherEducation #Creativity #Innovation #FutureOfHigherEducation #DesignThinking
