Cardiac rehabilitation isn't part of any routine care pathways for patients with atrial fibrillation. Excited to share results from our single-arm pilot study published in Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention. We enrolled overweight/obese patients with AF in a 12-week cardiac rehab-like program at Mass General Hospital. Patients reported improvement in AF burden, symptoms, and quality of life. This retrospective study evaluated the effectiveness of two cardiac preservation solutions, HTK-Custodiol and St. Thomas, used in adult heart transplantations at the University Hospital of Lausanne. Exciting news from Cardionomic Inc., a Cleveland Clinic portfolio company. Cardionomic has completed its pilot studies evaluating the safety and performance of the Cardiac Pulmonary Nerve Stimulation (CPNS™) System for Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) patients. The preliminary results suggest that CPNS therapy may address the unmet need for more effective treatment options for hospitalized heart failure patients. The company treated 35 patients in seven countries, and the data from both studies will be published in early 2024. “This is a significant milestone for Cardionomic, and more importantly for patients suffering from acute decompensated heart failure.
