The gap in LGBTQ+ identification among older adults. He shares, "You still see, for example, there are gaps in sort of population level. People who identify as LGBTQ...the older adults are less likely to identify as such publicly. And a lot of that's due to history. I mean, I don't think that magically people are changing. I think it's that younger generations are potentially more comfortable in sharing those things and responding to a survey question that asks about your sexual orientation, your gender identity, and marking that in a way that someone else will see it. And we see this playing out in sort of medical settings, this history of discrimination, and distrust...trying to understand how to navigate systems and how open to be and how that may or may not impact the care that your partner receives."
