We are also making strides in environmental sustainability: - Over 42% of our stores rely on low or lower global warming potential refrigerants. - 41,000+ organic products and 154 certified regenerative products available in our stores. - 550+ ingredients banned across our food, beverage, supplement, body care, and household cleaning product standards. - 100,000,000+ paper bags potentially avoided through the introduction of stronger twist-handle checkout bags. - Nearly 70% of all store waste kept out of landfills. The importance of facing in to the interlinks between sustainability, risk and financial value: because if you want your business to still be operating in 2050, they are all key! Some great insights from Emma Keller around supporting farmers - and encourage more young people into farming as part of #greenskills … Wilhelm H Mohn on the importance of #systemsthinking - we need to innovate for #greensteel but also encourage existing steel products to be reused. Finally thanks to the PwC team for running workshops on cost of inaction, physical and transition risks, social impact and more!

The report calls for a substantial increase in capital investment, emphasizing a coordinated approach to deploy resources effectively, supporting farmers through financial and non-financial services.
