One of the things we talk about on retreat is about how adopting a mindset of curiosity can transform how we approach both challenges and everyday situations. When we lead with curiosity, we not only gain deeper insights into the circumstances we face but also into our own reactions and emotions. Why curiosity? Enhanced understanding: Curiosity encourages us to ask questions and delve deeper, providing a richer understanding of the situations and people we encounter. Improved adaptability: By being curious, we remain open to new ideas and perspectives, enhancing our ability to adapt to change. Increased empathy: Understanding our own reactions helps us to empathise with others, improving interpersonal relationships and communication. Stimulated growth: Curiosity drives learning and personal growth. It pushes us to explore new paths and consider what we might otherwise overlook. By consistently asking, "Isn't that interesting?" we not only broaden our understanding of the external world but also deepen our self-awareness.
