Billy and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Graham Woodward RNMH FCMI living legend and trailblazer in the medical cannabis world—and let's just say, he's doing some mind-blowing work over at Releaf onboarding 100 patients per day!! Off the charts!! His passion and dedication to healing patients is seriously inspiring. We had an epic chat about what makes Releaf tick, and the real gem was their "nurture patients”vibe. When I popped the big question—how they keep regulators from cramping their style while staying true to their cause—Graham hit me with some wisdom. “It’s all about transparency and compliance,” he said. “ We are an open book. We keep things squeaky clean, from the farm to patient care, so the rule-makers stay happy, and we can focus on what matters most—our patients." But hold up, it gets better. When talking about Releaf culture, Graham dropped this gem: “At Releaf we are truly a family. We're not just handing out medicine; we're building bonds. We really listen, dig into what our patients need, and whip up personalized solutions that level up their lives. We nurture!” Is it any wonder Releaf is crushing it in the industry? Their secret ? A perfect blend of regulatory ninja skills and nurturing patient care combined with a vertical integration into the supply chain that ensures ALL patients ALL the time, through Releaf’s Patient Charter are guaranteed consistency and timely delivery of the highest quality medication available in the UK today……. Meeting Graham was like opening a window to the future of medical cannabis—where care, compassion, and a little green magic make all the difference.

Imagine that a vicious disease, irresponsibly spread by some of the largest healthcare companies in the world, could be treated or avoided with a plant. Then imagine you were either forbidden from, or afraid of, even mentioning that plant's name for fear of ridicule from your peers -- or worse, losing your license to practice medicine. That is the situation today with cannabis. Most people today, either do not take the plant seriously as medicine, or have been instructed not to because of prohibitive laws. Health and public health practitioners frequently acknowledge its efficacy privately, but will not express this professionally or publicly. They are programmed to advise that cannabis treatments for disease or pain relief etc. "need more evidence." This is said, even though cannabis was used by humans for millennia with zero mortality, and Oxycontin, invented in the 1990s (A.D.!!), did what it does. Enter Marion McNabb, DrPH, MPH, who has been gathering just what the doctors ordered with Dr. Grinspoon under the Cannabis Center of Excellence, INC. Please share the post for this webinar series, that begins TOMORROW NIGHT at 7pm, to generate awareness with your contacts in healthcare, particularly those in public health. The series will discuss results from a study that looks at the use of cannabis for tapering, eliminating, or never using substances like opiates in the first place. It's long past time we all (including cannabis professionals and companies, by the way) take cannabis seriously. Doing so is critical if we ever want it be an option for so many who are in immediate need of its many therapeutic and at times lifesaving potential.
Save the Date! Next Tuesday April 9 Join Dr. Marion Mcnabb and Dr. Peter Grinspoon in a lively and interactive Q&A about medical cannabis as a harm reduction alternative. Dr. McNabb will present research results from the recent CCOE cannabis as an alternative study then we will turn to 30+ min Q&A from the live zoom audience. A market with with $2.3 billion dollars in losses? 92% of the market unrealized? Mostly all losses to the traditional market and legal issues that could have been avoided. 95% of $150m going to an oligopoly of dispensaries and AUCC/AUCPs…7% of 463 retail dispensaries to sell 100% of AUCCs inventory? 37 of 200 dispensaries promised in year 1? Illegal, out of state brands on dispensary shelves? 0-4 on lawsuits. 200 farmers barely scraping by or on the brink of failure. Looks like success to me.

Royal Australian Air Force veteran, campaigning for the Dept of Veterans Affairs to approve medicinal cannabis for veterans with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury. #nomorezombieveterans
Thanks Dr Brian Walker for your support, here are some key campaign points: Thanks Brian Walker for supporting the NoMoreZombieVeterans campaign, here are some key points: * The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), is mandated to look after 581,000 veterans, * Figures show that nearly 30% of our combat veterans are suffering with PTSD & Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) from their service to Australia, * DVA gives veterans a cocktail of psychiatric medications to manage their PTSD & TBI symptoms, * Studies and lived experience show the large doses and years spent on DVAs psychiatric medication cocktail are causing severe levels of harm, suicide and relationship failures, * Studies show that medicinal cannabis works to effectively & safely manage the symptoms of PTSD & TBI and at a fraction of the cost, * Data shows nearly 15% of Australian adults are prescribed medicinal cannabis, most prescriptions being for anxiety, PTSD and depression, * Australian data supplied to DVA show veterans are reducing their psychiatric medication by 89% when using medicinal cannabis, * In December 2019 DVA stopped approving medicinal cannabis to veterans with PTSD & TBI. This decision discriminates against veterans and financially forces them to remain on DVAs harmful medication regimen. Please show your support and sign the petition https://lnkd.in/g5AM8kSV
Our veterans risked everything for our safety, yet many are left battling alone for the medications they desperately need. Is it right to deny them a lifeline? I am proud to support the #NoMoreZombieVeterans campaign and demand better access to medicinal cannabis. Stand up for those who stood up for us. Sign the petition now and be their voice for change! https://lnkd.in/gkWV-Ua6
