🍁 Any other companies ready for #Fall? After such a dynamic summer, it might be tempting to think of it as a time to slow down and soak in the last rays of sunshine. But for us, it’s just the beginning. Fall has always felt like a season of fresh starts, maybe even more so than January. Perhaps it’s because we grew up with the rhythm of the school year, where everything was new—shoes, classes, friends, teachers, and even our routines. Though these changes can be uncomfortable, they pave the way for growth. What are you looking forward to this next season? 🍂

Mentally, I'm here. ☀️ Who's with me?? Whether you've planned several trips for the summer or you're just trying to keep up with the kids' schedules, I think we can all agree that the next few months are BUSY! Sometimes during the summer, we try to do way too much and then we feel discouraged. That's why it's important to choose a few action items to focus on when everything around us is feeling a little out of control. 😅 To kick off the summer season, just decide on 3-5 tasks your business that you'll get done each week, no matter what. It'll help you actually enjoy the summer months and keep moving forward instead of feeling guilty or overwhelmed because you didn't get every single little thing done on your to-do list (because let's be honest, that's just not realistic). Want to have the best summer yet? Comment "summer business tips," and I'll send you something that can help! 😎 #smallbusinessmarketing #smallbusinessowners #womeninbusiness #marketingstrategist

Founders, if you haven’t taken any time off this summer, make sure to carve out a couple of days. I know you’re swamped, but everyone needs a recharge. Stepping away from your business will give you fresh perspective. You’ll come back more creative and energized to crush it this fall.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the things that make a real difference in our lives. For me, hanging with other founders has been one of the most transformative parts of my journey. It’s a game-changer—and a reality check. Being in this circle is more than just support. It’s about seeing how real businesses work. But it’s not all sunshine; there are challenges too. 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀: • Real Insights: You get an unfiltered view of how businesses truly grow and thrive. It’s not the polished LinkedIn wins—it’s the gritty, day-to-day reality: changing direction, managing team dynamics, handling cash flow issues. • Fast-Track Advice: Need help with marketing, scaling, or managing customer relationships? Someone in the circle has been there and done that. • Emotional Support: Founders share more than just strategies—they share the emotional rollercoaster of building something from scratch. Having friends who “get it” can make the highs higher and the lows less lonely. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀: • Shared Struggles: As much as you learn from others’ successes, you also witness their struggles. Watching friends go through layoffs, tough pivots, or shutdowns is hard. • Comparison Trap: Being around other founders can unintentionally make you compare yourself. Their wins can inspire, but they can also make you question your own progress if you’re not mindful. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: • Build with Intention: Surround yourself with diverse thinkers. People outside your industry/niche can offer fresh perspectives you didn’t know you needed. • Embrace Vulnerability: Real connections happen when people share both wins and losses. It builds trust and creates a safety net for tough times. • Avoid Harmful Comparisons: Celebrate others’ successes and learn from their paths, but remember that everyone’s journey is unique. Creating a founder circle has been instrumental in both my career and personal growth. Like Thanksgiving, it reminds me how much we thrive when we support and lift each other.

I’m thinking a lot about sustainable business practices right now, but let's get real for a moment. I just looked at my calendar, and... wow. Meetings from 8AM to 6PM. Squeezing in calls during school drop-offs. Trying to block off time for Run Club and date nights (note to self: actually block off date night). Sound familiar? The expectations we place on ourselves are INSANE. We're told this is what it takes to be successful. But is it? 🤔 What if the best version of our business (and ourselves) isn't about being awesomely fit, always engaged, or super productive? What if it's about: ▶ Prioritizing what truly matters (hint: it probably lives at your home address) ▶ Saying no to some opportunities to excel at your core business ▶ Actually taking that date night without interruptions Here's the hard truth… If maintaining this pace costs us our health, relationships, or sanity, were we truly meant to be in business? 👉 I'm challenging myself (and you) this week: Where can we create more space? What can we let go of? If this speaks to you, let’s connect! #RealTalk #EntrepreneurLife #WorkLifeBalance #AuthenticLeadership #BurnoutPrevention #GritCoach

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐄𝐱-𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐫. 𝐎𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: The Story of My Co-founder People often find it hard to believe that someone like her—a scholar and corporate high-flyer—would leave all of that behind to chase her dreams. And yet, here she is today, spending half her time folding boxes for oranges. Every business demands sacrifices, some more than others. But the biggest sacrifice often involves letting go of one’s pride and ego to put the company first. Two people with no background in gifting set out to transform the gifting industry. The good news? We were open to doing things differently. The challenge? Everything had to be learned from the ground up. And to accelerate that learning curve, sacrifices were non-negotiable. I’ve seen so many founders hesitate to get their hands dirty, putting themselves before their companies. But here’s the thing: if you’re willing to set aside your ego and put the company first, magic can happen. Take us, for example. In January alone, we accomplished more than we did in all of 2024 combined. And yes, that’s with my ex-Apple co-founder folding oranges. Thank you, Dr. Orange. You’ve officially graduated.
