The Texas Assisted Living Association Conference has come to a close! It was great catching up, talking to, and listening to phenomenal industry leaders such as... James Lee, Erin Thompson, Aaron Fish ,MBA, CHS, FMP, Dresden Leebron Cincurak, Brittany Lee M., Nicole Will, Trudy Leal, and so many more! What are some of the topics of discussion? 🙋♂️ 1️⃣ More intimate settings and smaller collaborative groups for conferences (and in-person events) lead to more concrete and actionable outcomes. 2️⃣ Verbally present your ideas, have conversations, and be you... that is how great ideas come to fruition. 3️⃣ A multi-generational point-of-view is being highly adopted across all levels of leadership (c-suite, community leaders, and care partners). 4️⃣ Simplicity for caregivers and a native billing system that speaks to your EHR are top-priorities when it comes to evaluating foundational software solutions. We have today published best practice guidance and information to help reablement services achieve the best outcomes for the people they support https://lnkd.in/e258dGsp   Reablement is an important model of care that supports older people to regain or maximise their independence, particularly after a hospital stay. When people engage well with reablement, they are less likely to need ongoing care easing pressure on the wider health and care system.    However, University of York researchers identified several factors that prevent many older people from engaging fully with being reabled.    Our new resource includes recommendations and ‘quick wins’ to help everyone involved in commissioning, managing and delivering reablement services to tackle these barriers so that more people can experience better outcomes.
