Did you know? Women-led businesses in Africa are driving significant innovation and fueling community development. In my latest BusinessDay article, "Investing in the Rise of Africa's Women Entrepreneurs," I dive into the tremendous potential these women hold and the ripple effect their success creates. Studies even show that companies with women leaders outperform financially. But they're not without challenges. Access to funding, mentorship, and navigating outdated societal norms can greatly hinder their progress.  However, by providing resources like funding, mentorship programs focused on relevant skills, and advocating for supportive policies, we can unlock their full potential. Bridging the Gender Gap

The gentleman donning the traditional Kyrgyz hat, known as "Ak Kalpak," was captured in action. My style was documented through photos, interviews, and a short film presented during the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) closing ceremony, giving me a sense of celebrity))! As the GFMD14 summit in Geneva concludes, it leaves us with several noteworthy outcomes. Foremost among them is the optimistic prospect of a better future for our migrant communities. Additionally, the summit has instilled a profound sense of inspiration, highlighting the importance of #WomenEmpowerment. However, paramount above all is the extensive and robust networking opportunities we are poised to bring back to our respective homes. This is my perspective on the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) platform. I thank all participants and organizers for their contributions to this exceptional event. Advancing Women in Politics, Decision-Making, and Peacebuilding was implemented by the Hiya organization, and funded by (USAID) with the participation of (DCEO) from Jan 2024 to April 2024.   The purpose of this activity is to focus on increasing community awareness regarding women's participation in advanced roles in the local community and their active participation in Shatt Al-Arab, Zubair, and Basra governments.

African women are not only leading Africa making the majority of entrepreneurs in the continent. They are also 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 with the highest number of female entrepreneurs on ANY continent. Despite the great numbers, African Women have less profitable businesses and experience more stagnant growth compared to men’s businesses or other female-led businesses internationally. We are honored to host our first roundtable discussion around such a powerful topic and to have guest speakers who are not only knowledgeable about matters affecting entrepreneurship in Africa, they are also invested in creating sustainable solutions that elevate Africans and African Women. In Egypt they were doctors, dancers and musicians, in Persia they supervised the workers, while in Rome they were business owners contributing significantly to the economy. As history shows us, women's role in entrepreneurship has never been limited by social or family obligations. On the contrary, women have always assumed an active role in society and entrepreneurship. 📌 Today, women's entrepreneurship is at the core of innovation and development.
