🌊 It’s Flood Action Week! 🌧️ As a proud ambassador with Living With Water, I’m excited to join the efforts in raising awareness about the importance of flood resilience in our communities, especially here in Hull and the Humber region, where water is both a resource and a challenge. Flooding can happen to anyone, and preparedness is key to protecting our homes, businesses, and public spaces. During this Flood Action Week, let's take action by: ✅ Checking flood warnings ✅ Preparing a flood plan for our home, school or workplace ✅ Understanding how to protect our environment and infrastructure ✅ Educating ourselves on the impacts of climate change on flood risk Join me and the team at Living With Water in building a more resilient future, where we can live harmoniously with water, rather than fear its impacts. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities for sustainable living. 🌍💧 #FloodActionWeek #LivingWithWater #FloodResilience #Sustainability #ClimateChange #Hull #HumberRegion

A new group will help Oxfordshire improve its readiness and response to flooding by bringing together many of the key organisations responsible for tackling it. The Oxfordshire strategic flood risk group has been formed as a direct result of a flooding summit which we organised last month. It will be chaired from the new year by Prof Robert Van de Noort CBE, Vice Chancellor of Reading University and former Chair of the Thames Valley Flood and Costal Committee. https://lnkd.in/e-pyBVxr
