Nothing "weird" about it. They knew exactly what they were doing. This is what it truly means to be a "replacement for cable." To completely replace cable would mean the price would also be comparable. The big question is... Who will disrupt the space next? To tie this into YT stuff. The same thing happens frequently for content creators. Periods of innovation, disruption, and a new norm, happen in multi year cycles. Its up to creators to be always alert for these shifts and be ready to make changes quickly.

Some thoughts: A lot of the streaming prices are ad-free. Few channels (HBO) on cable were ad free. More choice. With cable your base bundle and bundle add-ons were less granular. On-demand. So much content is on-demand vs the hassle of managing your own DVR. Base internet price. To get into streaming, you have to consider the price of internet connectivity. Old-school cable content navigation isn't up to handling the breadth of live and on-demand content. Likely, being plugged into genre-specific entertainment news across services is more valuable. I'm ok with relying on third parties to help with navigation. At the end of the day, we are better off now. We have more choices, more content, and most importantly convenience (on-demand). You can still skip streaming and go cable if you want.

Had LG focused diligently and considered the compulsory legal compliance with the mandatory provisions in question on 26.6.21, LG could have gladly issued a valid legal tax invoice on 26.6.21 and an e-receipt on 26.6.21 at no cost or no time and LG could have avoided (i) the issuing of an illegal disputed Debit note on 26.6.21 and (ii) avoided invalid disputed suspicious tax invoice on 12.2.22 after seven months of delivery challan dated.8.7.21, (iii) avoided 163 complaints on INGRAM, 32 complaints, and 5 appeals on CPGRAMS, CMO complaint, Minister complaint, PMO complaint, etc, (iv) more importantly avoided victimization of senior citizen consumer for more than 3 years by simple compliance with mandatory provisions in question (v) avoided wastage of precious resources of manpower, money, time, and energy for the last 3 years for possible gainful productive use. This was the only desirable legal and valid expected right course of action from LG to comply with mandatory provisions expected by the CP Act,2019, GST Act, 2017, GOI, and the consumer to avoid any possibility of raising the first complaint 2851219 and subsequent 162 complaints.
