It's Environmental Education Day! At the Wildlife Conservation Society, we believe that education is one of the keys to protecting our planet's precious wildlife and natural resources. At all of our 5 project sites we emphasize the importance of environmental education in promoting sustainable development, conserving biodiversity, and addressing climate change. With support from donors and partners, WCS has established conservation education clubs in over 100 local schools in communities around Cross River National Park, Afi Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary, the Mbe Mountains, and Yankari Game Reserve. These clubs help improve awareness on the importance of biodiversity as the foundation of our food, clean air, clean water, soil quality, and human well being. #EnvironmentalEducationDay #WildlifeConservation Federal Ministry of Environment, Nigeria WildAid Yankari Game Reserve Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS Tusk Elephant Protection Initiative National Park Service, Nigeria
