As a longtime Whiteboard Friday fan, this latest video via Will Critchlow is worth watching: "Testing Ideas From the Google API Leaks" It's been a few months since the Google leak, and many SEOs have moved on to other things by now, but Wil shakes the cushions to bring a few concepts front and center "CommercialScore" - I completely forgot about this! Need to find some ways to test this... "A measure of commerciality of the document Score > 0 indicates document is commercial (i.e. sells something) Computed by repository/pageclassifiers/parsehandler-commercial.cc"

Google recently release their Gemini Pro models with limited free access to their API, so I decided to take it for a spin. They offer multimodality with text & images and I thought it would be interesting to interact with the model over a live video from a connected camera, so I ended up putting together a simple utility that does just that (something along the lines of Google's original demo - just a much more basic version of that). Other than the calls to Gemini, the interactions shown in the video are all running locally with minimal hardware specs, so the Text To Speech generation is not exactly real time. All the underlying code is on Github: https://lnkd.in/epK7U78C

Google Gemini 1.5 solves the needle in the haystack problem. Able to find the smallest detail in over 1,000,000 tokens of context (current SOTA is 32-64k), whether it's text or multimodal inference. Check out their amazing tech demo.

IMHO, as the LLM context window size is increasing (Google is touting 10M tokens very soon), and the attention is getting better, RAG uses cases will continue to shrink to corner cases like web scale search and retrival.

As leaders, it's crucial to leverage technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Instead of spending hours reading technical documentation, imagine having a tool that can summarize it for you within seconds. This kind of innovation can truly revolutionize the way we work. #ThoughtLeadership #Innovation #TechSolutions

Don't end up like Squidward (definitely had to Google the name) Because why spend hours reading tech docs when Albus can not only just read, but also summarize them within a few seconds You know you want such a buddy - https://lnkd.in/gYDJK7wQ

While Google's new image generator is very careful to not generate even reasonable image requestions, when you get it to work, the results are pretty neat. What do you guys think? Here are some ukiyo-e samurai rabbits.
