ECAS Enforcement Teams, out spreading the messages against FOG; looking more like a Parking Enforcement or FOG SWAT Team!! Water Companies outsourcing their Regulatory obligations to private FOG SWAT Teams needs industry debate! Do you really need hi vis, body cams, radios and all that PPE to take a look at a kitchen's grease management?
At Toronto and East York Community Council I got to illustrate the interconnected relationship between public transportation and biking by deputing in support of prioritizing the curb lane for public and active transportation while commuting on Metrolinx GO train service. Toronto's multi-modal present and future hinges on prioritizing active modes of transportation over single car use occupancy - and the important role of Cycle Toronto for travelling distances of 5km or less.

Many businesses are leaving SF due to homeless people with mental issues, drug issues, etc. Also reduces SF resident quality life and touristism.
Time to get a new mayer which understands that.
Having housings which mixes mental people, drug abusers and regular family people who lost their housing, never works.
The mental and drug abusers have to be dealt at the state/federal level with facilities far from communities and business centers. They will never live in housing places next to normal people and they will run down the cities and communities with them. The drug abusers have to be clean, to be reintroduced in the major population area with families nearby.
Time to rethink, not to throw money at things which does not work for the tax paying population, "The Middle Class"!

In the past three months as a Regional Director, I've been deeply immersed in the vibrant heart of Detroit, working closely with our local communities. The journey has been both enlightening and profoundly rewarding, offering me firsthand insights into the power of tailored community outreach.
Here are some key takeaways:
1. Listening is Fundamental: True engagement starts with listening. Detroit's diverse voices have taught me that understanding unique community needs leads to more impactful initiatives.
2. Collaboration Over Competition: Partnering with local leaders and organizations isn't just beneficial; it's essential. These collaborations strengthen our outreach efforts and multiply the impacts of our shared goals.
3. Adaptability is Key: Each community has its dynamics and challenges. Adapting our approach to meet these specific circumstances has been crucial in fostering trust and achieving our objectives.
These insights have not only informed our strategic approaches but also deepened my dedication to advancing criminal justice reform and improving public policy. As I continue to learn and grow in this role, I am excited about the potential to drive even more meaningful change in the months and years to come!

Isaac Yablo is Senior Advisor for Community Safety for the City of Boston. He moves seamlessly across scales, from city-wide strategy to on-scene response. In his work, we watched how well Isaac sees people, where they are coming from, and the structures that surround them: the not visible things that are driving visible behaviors.
Isaac has shown us what it can mean to be seen.

Today, my exploration of Community Renewal International in Shreveport-Bossier brings us to the very core of community #transformation: the Haven House. Imagine a place where every street corner buzzes with #friendship, where neighbors aren't just faces but friends. 🏘️🤝
In the Haven Houses, I found a powerful blend of simplicity and depth. "Remaking our city by making friends on our street" is not just a tagline; it's a lived reality. Haven Houses stand as beacons of #trust and mutual #support, turning the concept of neighborly love into a tangible, vibrant force. 🌳💞
One remarkable individual exemplifying this #spirit is Russell Minor, the Director of Haven House. A man whose life journey has taken him from military service to leading a movement of neighborhood #rejuvenation. Russell doesn’t just organize; he inspires. He fosters a 'Neighbor loving Neighbor' ethos, transforming the way people interact and care for each other. 🌟👥
Russell’s work epitomizes what I call 'Systems Orchestrators'. He's not just facilitating events; he's weaving a tapestry of #interconnected lives, creating a symphony of community wellness. Leaders like Russell (and the rest of the Haven House team at Community Renewal International) light the torch of #sustainable change, proving how powerful local leadership can be. ✨🌍
Reflecting on today's post, the phrase "Community to Action," repeated often during the Haven House panel, stands out as a pivotal element in community-led development. It's more than a call – it's a #movement, a rallying cry that beckons us to support and #uplift each other. 🌟🤝
If the #transformative story of Community Renewal International strikes a chord with you, I encourage you to dive deeper into Community Renewal International’s work. Together, let's #champion this model of community development and share its powerful message far and wide! 🚀🤗
