Mentorship is important in not just student retention but in retention of staff. We know this and it's important to remember when planning retention efforts in our offices and on campus. But when it comes to campuses, especially those with D1 athletics, there are other factors at play. What else happened at FAU recently? 11moI spent some time exploring this campus. There is a museum with 1,000's of baseballs signed by famous people of the 20th century. I'm not saying that is why they get good retention, the campus is located in a gorgeous place.
