Well said David Bach..!!! It really breaks my heart when I hear people commenting on others: that they’ve lost their job because of their incapability to work, lack of knowledge or skills. The management has chosen them for a reason #layoffs2023 If you have your job, I know you must be working really hard to keep it safe and must be really good with whatever you do. BUT that doesn’t make the other person anyless. Please don’t judge or pass comments without actually knowing the real insights. Don’t make situation even worse for them. #support #helpothers Laying off people during their probation period is the new trend. They hire the candidate, use them to the fullest for 3 months and just before their last date of probation, lay them off. Which is a win win situation for the companies. Well, I just want to say two things to these companies and people: You’re ruining your business and name in the long run. KARMA is real. And everyone out there looking for an opportunity, stay strong we will reach there soon. #activelylooking #jobseeking #staypositive
Every day I see multiple stories of people that have been in the job market for 3, 6, 12+ months, doing everything they can to find employment but getting lost in the flood of applicants. Professionals completely unable to find work to support their family, to the point where they are selling their homes, and having to start over completely, mid-career. There are a LOT of great people out there that fall into this category. Prioritize them in your hiring. They are smart, capable and extremely motivated. And they are not okay. When you are hiring, do not let their employment gap create negative bias. In many cases, a very challenging market caused the gap. Many, very capable colleagues in my network have found themselves in this situation and are exceptionally good at what they do. I was able to weather the storm for 7 months following a layoff, but also feel very fortunate and honestly, lucky that it wasn’t another 7. We should all feel a professional responsibility to support each other. #opentowork #helpingjobseeers #helpingeachother #hiring #layoffs

Interesting stats on jobs… Whatever happened to hiring the candidate that was best suited for the job? What happened to judging people based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin? Where do YOU fit in this chart? #discrimination #diversity #layoffs #hiring #fomowithromo

Are you #OpenToWork or are you #OpenToAJobThatPaysYouWhatYouWantBasedOnHowWellYouSellYourselfBeforeProvenYourself? “Job” and “work” are both nouns, but they’re slightly different. A job is your occupation (like a VP of marketing, a data scientist,a teacher, a banker or a scientist). Whereas, work is the stuff you do. Work are the skills required to produce results. Work is the value you provide that is exchanged for compensation. The reality is this. You do not know when someone is going to hire you. Once hired, you don’t know if and when they will downsize. That’s risky. Are you maintaining a weekly schedule while you’re seeking a job? What does that look like? Question…. What income are you seeking? When did you begin your job search? How many jobs have you applied for? Have many interviews have you had? How many offers have you been extended? If you are someone #OpenToWork, then I can help you “work” today. In fact, “working” with me and mastering the skills I teach will increase the effectiveness of your job search. There are 335 days remaining in 2024. February 1, 2024 - January 1, 2025 Give me an income target to map out for you on 10 hrs/week over the next 335 days. I will give you a plan and “work” to consider that will not interfere with your job search or future employment. Schedule a call: https://lnkd.in/gpeTb7xW 904.838.2623
