Huge congratulations to Geovation Nepal, which submitted amazing solutions and won our customer solution stories contest! Check out this gorgeous workflow video and have a look at their insights from working with WingtraOne over the years: Versatility (excellence from high peaks to low valleys): “In 2021, our team at Geovation conducted a flood assessment survey in Manag at an altitude of 3519 meters using WingtraOne. Despite the challenging height and low temperature, the drone performed flawlessly. In April 2024, we executed a house numbering and street coding survey in Jhapa, at just 100 meters above sea level with extensive high temperature of 42 degree celsius. The versatility of Wingtra was clear-cut, delivering amazing results and flawless performance across vastly different elevations and temperatures.” Handling Nepalese terrain: “In 2022, we conducted a drone survey along the Kagbeni river in Mustang, Nepal, for river training and flood modeling. The area, located at an elevation of 13,200 feet (4,023 meters) AMSL, is characterized by freezing temperatures and rugged terrain. The WingtraOne drone, with its terrain-following feature and straightforward workflow, simplified our tasks. The performance of Wingtra in these cold and challenging conditions was exceptional.” Increased coverage: “At Geovation, we have completed detailed mapping for several municipalities such as Changuanrayan, Bhimdatta, Janakpur, Harion, and Parshuram. Using WingtraOne, we were able to survey much larger areas than usual, finishing these lengthy projects in just a few days. The use of WingtraOne has greatly enhanced our capability to manage large projects quickly and effectively, even in remote locations.” Improved accuracy: “Accuracy is crucial when conducting surveys that require engineering precision. We have worked on various projects, including hydropower and drinking water supply projects, which demand precise engineering accuracy and outputs, such as feasibility surveys of hydropower project sites and drinking water supply projects (DWSP). The accuracy of Wingtra has been essential in achieving the high-quality results needed for these projects.” Cost-effectiveness: “The use of Wingtra has reduced the time and labor required for our field surveys, which has lowered our costs. This efficiency of Wingtra has enabled us to redirect funds from surveying to more productive activities. This approach could also help NGOs, INGOs, and research institutions manage their budgets better by spending less on surveying and more on other productive areas.” Overall impact: “The introduction of WingtraOne has had a huge impact in our organization as it has improved our operations, especially in Nepal's challenging terrain. The drone's minimal space requirement for take-off and landing—of just about 5 meters—has made our operations more flexible and convenient than any other drones we have worked with.” 🙏 Bal Kumar Lamsal #dronesforgood #WingtraOne
