Last month, we gave a presentation at the Toronto Machine Learning Summit #tmls2024 titled Dynamic Huff Gravity Model with Covariates. In this presentation, we discuss an improved approach of predicting site visitation by introducing covariates to the traditional Huff Gravity Model. Hey everyone! Guess what? We’re making magic happen! Things are getting super exciting with our project. Today, I focused on training several machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, and Random Forests. This step is crucial as it converts our preprocessed data into predictive power. I evaluated the models using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The Random Forest model emerged as the top performer, demonstrating high accuracy in detecting network intrusions. So amazing how quickly the LLM landscape continues to evolve, with the release of Meta's Llama 3 open source model rivaling the best proprietary models out there. Now, anyone has access to the guts of one of the best models out there - the code, architecture, training process - for free, democratizing access to powerful language AI capabilities. This could catalyze a new wave of creative breakthroughs. I'll admit, I never expected to be this enthusiastic about a Meta product.
