They wanted to increase awareness around the rules governing Creators...I wanted to make it funny. I'll be honest, comedy wasn't the first thing that came to mind when the ASA wanted to partner with us at Meta on a campaign. But I think it worked. Five Creators. Explaining the rules in a humorous way. Out of all the content, this is my fave: https://lnkd.in/e5UcgJgq I think there's three reasons this partnership worked: 🍋 Collaboration: We came together as a cross-functional team right from the very start. There was nothing siloed about it. Dan Moller helped me and Emily Lydford to get our creative juices flowing from Day 1 and then one Friday I called Emily in a panic: The concept was born. 🍋 Trust: The ASA trusted Meta with the Creative. We trusted the Creators to bring the campaign to life. Followers trust Creators to know the guidelines. 🍋 Time: Out of all the projects I worked on this year . This had the biggest timeline. It meant we had plenty of time to ideate, brief and collaborate. I didn't get to see this project to completion but Christina Theodoropoulou and Emily Lydford, you killed it. Big congrats.

#Thursdayinspiration 📰 News for Free – The Meta Way Free speech demands a seriously independent, professional media that is objective. This costs money. The idea that Meta feels it has the right to broadcast and rebroadcast content sourced from media that is paid for with subscriptions, for free, is laughable. It is like saying that we have a patent system, and you can sell my patents, but if you do not use them yourself, you don't have to pay the owner. In Australia, Canada, and many other countries, the need for compensation is being recognized, and Meta has entered agreements that acknowledge the intellectual property holder's right.
