India’s Renewable Energy Potential: 1 Cent (less than 1 Rs) Per KWhr ! Did you know? With its diverse geography and abundant sunlight, India has the potential to generate electricity at just 1 cent (less than ₹1) per unit using a combination of Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage. Tony Seba insightful video presentation sheds light on how this could transform India’s energy landscape. Recently, the price discovery of ₹2.37 per unit with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support from the government has shown promising signs. Could continuous declines in the costs of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), solar panels, and batteries pave the way to achieving ultra-low-cost renewable energy at ₹1 per unit by 2030? What do you think? How competitive our Big & SME industries in Aluminium, Steel and other sector will become in comparison to other countries if they get electricity renewable energy at Rs 1 Per unit? Are we on the brink of a new era of affordable, sustainable electricity in India? Check out below video clip, the presentation slide in the video👇 A. K. Indeed a interesting interview. Good to know strategic business modelling/re-organisation, capacity additions, new designs, debt restructuring and dynamics of evolving wind market. Supply no longer being constraint. EPC competency, land and MSME capacity-building shall be key enablers in future installations. Now, every new turbine sold has mandatory aftersales/service package which ensures lifetime revenue stream for company. Wind-solar-BESS/pumped hydro storage Round the clock tenders, C&I opportunities are important tailwinds for wind sectors; which was lagging rampant solar adoption. Wind @ 10GW per year and 100GW by 2030 shall be important milestones for India.
