Xcentuate /ActiveOps Senior Leader Dinner New Zealand Last Thursday evening we had the pleasure of hosting a Senior Leader dinner event at Cocoon House in Auckland, with some of the top leaders from the financial services industry within New Zealand. The conversation primarily focusing on AI adoption was rich, the connections were meaningful, and the atmosphere was energising. The event also providing a space to foster connections, exchange ideas and insights across the leadership group. The highlight of the evening was our discussion on AI adoption and the challenges many organisations face as they navigate this rapidly evolving landscape. These discussions were referencing the research paper that ActiveOps had recently commissioned. The insights shared were invaluable, and it was clear that while there are significant hurdles, the opportunities AI presents are even greater. A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a vibrant discussion. It's always inspiring to see how collaboration and shared experiences can spark new ideas and solutions. It was a pleasure to take part in CEDA’s AI Leadership Summit this morning, engaging with other thought leaders and innovators about the future of #AI in Australia 🤖   I sat alongside Jessica Cuthbertson Theo Farrell Simon Elisha and Damian Kassabgi discussing how Australian businesses can best harness AI to supercharge innovation and growth 🚀 and talking about some of my favourite AI uses cases at Telstra.   Here are my top 3 takeaways:   🌐 Connectivity is critical: Secure and reliable connectivity is the foundational layer underpinning the AI boom. Building robust digital infrastructure is essential to support AI’s growth and ensure businesses can take full advantage of these new technologies and innovations.   ⚖ Finding the balance: Effective AI governance is crucial – there’s no doubt. We need to be leaders in not just AI, but responsible AI, and ensure that AI is always developed and deployed ethically, balancing speed and innovation with the right guardrails.    🎓 Educating and upskilling: AI is set to change the way we live and work, so upskilling our teams to be able to adapt and thrive in an AI-driven future is vital. A culture of curiosity and continuous learning is so important here – and people need to take that mindset and lean in to using these new technologies where they can in their everyday work. Alongside the ESSEC - Accenture Strategic Business Analytics Chair , which is at the forefront of training tomorrow's leaders to master strategic and business issues, the ESSEC Metalab is delighted to be associated with the AI4RL initiative, which aims to analyze the interactions between artificial intelligence and responsible leadership - helping to meet tomorrow's challenges for companies and society as a whole. How can AI enhance leaders’ ability to make data-driven and unbiased decisions? Can it help optimize resources and reduce environmental impact to promote sustainability?
