Happy 100th, Activated Sludge! That's how long ago Ardern & Lockett came up with the modern wastewater treatment method we still use today! No matter what equipment you use, these are the basics. Aerate in aerobic microorganisms; Settle out biological solids; Send the biological solids (Activated Sludge) back into the aerated wastewater.#wastewater #water #effluenttreatment #activatedsludge #wwtp

Take a read in the article below for more info about Flow Reversal and our high-recovery solutions. One big area for us in PFAS treatment. RO is hands down the best technology for PFAS treatment, removing everything including the contaminants that we don't yet know about, and that the EPA hasn't yet regulated. If you're building for the long term, the best thing to do is to build RO. But until now, conventional RO at 80% recovery rates has just simply not be economical for PFAS removal. You have a large concentrate stream to dispose of, and if you were a conventional water treatment plant with say 10 MGD of capacity, to all of a sudden knock that down to 8 MGD doesn't make a whole lot of sense. That's why high-recovery makes RO economical for PFAS removal. Bringing recovery rates to 95% or even higher will shrink that brine stream dramatically. Downstream concentration and destruction systems will be smaller and more efficient. Plants will be producing more product water. And the RO will serve as a barrier, producing the cleanest possible drinking water while protecting against breakthrough from short-chain PFAS and when GAC media is exhausted. PM me to set up a webinar to learn more!
With new regulations setting Maximum Contaminant Levels for PFAS in drinking water, municipalities are actively searching for the most effective solutions. 🚰 Our Flow Reversal Reverse Osmosis (FR-RO) technology offers a game-changing approach, boosting recovery rates to 90-95% and cutting concentrate volume by up to 80%. 😱 This not only increases water availability but also extends the life and efficiency of treatment systems. Curious about how FR-RO can enhance your water treatment plant’s efficiency?
