Just had a chat with a potential candidate who made a lightning-fast decision in the first 5 minutes! Wondering how? A brief company pitch at the beginning of recruiter screens can be extremely enlightening. Case in point: this candidate was set to move away from federal government agencies. When I mentioned our extensive government contracts he decided he was out. Even though recruiters wish everyone did their homework, some don't, and that's OK! That's why the first conversation is important, it's our prime chance as recruiters to showcase the awesome work our company does and see if it aligns with the candidate. Through my years of experience, I've come to realize that simplicity often plays a key role in enhancing the efficiency of the recruitment process! #Recruitment #Hiring #CivicTech
