The case for dealership culture has been made over and over again. Often, when we consider the aspects of a "good culture," training, mentorship, succession planning and leadership come to mind. What perhaps doesn't, is the notion of doing the right thing. Or as Tom calls it: Compliance. According to Tom Kline ☎🐙 Founder of Better Vantage Point: The term tends to get pigeonholed as “having to comply with (fill in the name of a rule or regulation here)” and not as part of the fuller fabric of all dealership operations. As our industry continues to grow and evolve, so do the risks. Creating a culture of doing the right thing will greatly help mitigate that risk. It's always exciting to move forward in your career, and we all need leaders to help us develop along the way. Thank you Chad Frye for being that leader for me! Giving someone a leadership title does not make them a leader. We must ensure we don't neglect the leadership development necessary for success when someone is beginning their leadership journey. Manufactured Home Sales Consultant and Trainer | Transforming the Manufactured Home Sales Industry and Sales Culture: Maverick Sales Trainer | Disruptor of the Status Quo | Champion of Excellence
💪The power of Servant Leadership in management Last week I was really involved in helping out the GM of one of our consulting clients, Mobile Home Masters, Inc. in Tyler Texas. This highlighted something vital for the success of any retail or community team—professional development for upper management. We often focus on training our sales teams, but what about the general managers, and sales managers who lead them? It’s crucial that leadership understands their role isn't just to oversee—it’s to serve and support. A servant leadership mindset ensures that your teams are empowered, motivated, and equipped to perform at their highest level. When upper management commits to being servant leaders, they create an environment where sales teams can thrive. This support and guidance directly impact the success of the entire operation. The best managers know that their success is tied to the success of their teams, and that requires investing in their development too. If ypu want elite performance from your sales teams, it starts with your leadership team being there to serve. You can elevate your teams by providing your upper management the professional development they need to lead at a higher level. Have your management team members take this quick assessment to learn more about themselves. https://lnkd.in/gCu34VwQ #purposedriven #reaultsoriented #servantleadership #assessment #manufacturedhomesalesmastery

As I have discussions with peers and others about leadership, one theme stands out: the effect of leadership styles on those who are led and how that translates to organizational performance. I often share my experiences leading high performing teams at JPMorgan Chase & Co. if you truly want to stand out as a leader, focus on the development and career growth of those you lead. When your employees see that you are fully invested in them, see that you are invested in their career goals, they are far more likely to perform at a high level. Employees who are stifled, aren’t supported, or their career growth isn’t supported or encouraged often will not go out of their way to be all in on organizational goals. This is true no matter the sector, public or private. If you want to excel as a leader and open up new opportunities for yourself and your career, start by cultivating the skills and careers of those you manage. The best leaders have a long list of employees who themselves have gone on to be leaders in their organization.

As companies continue to prioritize the strategic role of sales, it's no surprise that the CHRO and CPO roles are among the fastest-growing in the C-suite. This shift in focus highlights a critical need for leadership development, particularly in sales management. It's not just about training salespeople to sell anymore—it's about equipping leaders with the skills to manage sales teams effectively and drive sustainable growth. That's why our Sales Management Development Program (SMDP) is designed to develop sales leaders who can do just that. By focusing on coaching, team dynamics, and performance management, SMDP empowers managers to elevate their teams and boost company-wide sales performance. Check out the full article from HR Brew below to see why this leadership shift is gaining momentum. https://lnkd.in/dA6h-NkQ

Last week, HRD CEO Andrea Butcher worked with a group of banking leaders at the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis. It's always fun when you can get a selfie with the arch (and a great client contact) on the way to a speaking engagement! :) These leaders are currently leading through a lot of change, so during their focused time, Andrea led them through 3 strategies for mobilizing their teams to WANT to struggle through the change together: 1. Aligning on a shared vision and getting anchored to their values 2. Empowering team members through their relationships 3. Building resilience and encouraging themselves and and others to step out of their comfort zone Leaders walked away with a commitment plan and an accountability partner to ensure follow-up. AND it's always fun when you can get a selfie with the arch (and a great client contact) on the way to a speaking engagement! :) #hrdleadership #hrdinspires #leadershipdevelopment

Managing Director, Global Head of Customer Experience and Channels, Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC. NED
Leadership: Purpose, Insight, Openness Leadership means many different things to many people. From my perspective, I’ve always treated being a senior leader in HSBC as a privilege. Aiming to be present and purposeful in my decision making and strategy setting, I actively challenge myself to be intentional in every action I take. In short, I’m always striving to be a better leader and this takes work. Continuing my leadership journey, I recently shared a few days with some wonderful leaders from across HSBC. It was a brilliant balance of theory and practical tools delivered by world class lecturers and practitioners; we covered many aspects from purpose, personal insights, and the importance of openness. Here are a few of my key takeaways: Purpose: Your personal purpose is like your compass. It’s what shapes you. When you understand it fully, you uncover the deep conviction that shapes your every behaviour, mindset and action. To me, leading with purpose starts by setting a meaningful intent each day. I approach my leadership responsibility like I would in developing a business strategy - preparing for it and being considered about how I do it. Insight: Being aware of your strengths and the environment you work in are necessary to ensure you are being the best you can be. Recognising your leadership styles and how you adapt them when dealing with different situations and in different environments is critical. Openness: It is necessary and energising to keep a focus on the external and look outside your business and area. To challenge our own and others assumptions. To keep an open mind and to find your space and time, and practise looking at your challenges and opportunities from a different perspective. Thank you HSBC University Ben Renshaw Celia Moore Emma Cornwall Nick Barker Andrew Wild Claire Baird And my learning peer group Claire Wormald Alejandro Olivares López Richard Oliver #shapingyourleadership #imperialcollegebusinessschool #HSBC
