Roadway Closure Alert - Construction begins April 22nd on the Bruce Road Reconstruction Project. The public is advised to expect temporary delays and detours during the 15-18 month construction period. Beginning April 22nd, there will be full road closures at two key sections of the project: (1) Bruce Road immediately south of East 20th Street to approximately 100 yards north of the Skyway, and (2) Bruce Road south of Banner Peak Drive to north of Concord Ave/Picholine Way. While public access will be maintained at key intersections, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and plan additional travel time to navigate marked detours during construction. The City of Chico recognizes the inconvenience posed by construction activities but assures residents that the long-term benefits of the Bruce Road Reconstruction Project will outweigh temporary disruptions. Hwy 65 construction alert! MNDoT has just put out the following update: "After several weather-related delays, we will finally begin work on Mon, June 17 to replace the Coon Creek bridges between 143rd Ave. and 147th Ave./Andover Blvd. in Ham Lake. The following week, Hwy 65 will fully close in both directions to replace the culvert beneath the highway just south of Viking Blvd. in East Bethel. Beginning at 1 a.m. Mon, June 17, Hwy 65 will be reduced to one lane in both directions with head-to-head traffic between Bunker Lake Blvd. and 147th Ave./Andover Blvd. to begin the bridge replacement. Traffic will remain a single lane each direction until work is complete on both sides of the road. Work is expected to be completed and the road fully opened by 10 p.m. Sun, July 28." The second year of construction on the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) I-494 Airport to Hwy 169 First Construction Design-Build Project in Hennepin County, Minnesota, is almost complete. Michael Baker International is the Lead Designer for the project. Contractor C. S. McCrossan is finalizing the reconstruction of I-494 between East Bush Lake Road and TH 100. The remaining tasks in this section include installing overhead sign foundations, constructing the median barrier and paving concrete on the inside lane and shoulder, all of which are expected to be finished in the coming weeks. Additionally, concrete paving on the Eastbound I-494 lanes is nearing completion. One new bridge is now open to traffic, with three more set to open soon. Construction is scheduled to continue through Fall 2026. The project is part of a long-term vision by MnDOT that includes improvements to address current and future transportation issues on I-494. It aims to provide a transit advantage to increase the number of people who can be efficiently moved through the area; improve the reliability of the average rush-hour trip; improve safety; restore pavement to preserve infrastructure and provide a smoother ride; improve drainage systems to reduce localized flooding and reduce run-off into the Minnesota River while preserving existing bridges. #ProjectUpdate #BridgeConstruction #I494Project

Project Spotlight: LAK-002-01.05 L&R Bridge Widening & Rehabilitation 2LMN served as the prime consultant on this bridge widening and rehabilitation project for ODOT District 12. The project involved replacing deteriorated superstructures and expanding twin slab bridges covering six lanes of SR 2 over Worden Road in Wickliffe, Ohio. 2LMN provided survey, roadway design, maintenance of traffic, bridge design, and drainage design. The complex maintenance of traffic scheme enabled all six lanes of traffic (3 in each direction) to be maintained during construction by utilizing crossovers and contraflow. #bridges #civilengineering #transportation
