How familiar are you with “rainscreen” when used to describe a wall assembly? "Rainscreen" encompasses various assembly types and materials – for example, facade, cladding attachment, insulation, and weather resistive barrier. You will find rainscreens on buildings of all types. In one of our latest short videos, learn more about rainscreens and how Polyiso insulation serves as a layer of continuous insulation to improve energy performance. Sleeve-It® SD-1 is a pre-engineered fence post anchoring solution for enhancing below-grade foundational stability in fences placed on top of a segmental retaining wall (SRW). Sleeve-It’s patent-pending design allows stable fence footings to be integrated into the support structure of the SRW while it is being constructed. Because of its cantilevered form and other properties, using Sleeve-It during the SRW build permits a code-compliant fence to be constructed, eliminating the 36” offset requirements of IBC 1015.2. Learn more about how using Sleeve-It can save space, time, and costs on your next project: https://bit.ly/2ZpD6s9

Why do we love metal buildings? (How long do you have?) Affordability, durability and versatility are just a few of the benefits these structures bring to the table. The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) offers great insights for any company working to determine whether a metal building makes sense for them. #MetalBuildings #SteelBuildings #MetalConstruction https://bit.ly/3spvpTp

Do you know that the 2nd generation of Eurocode 2 on concrete structures was approved as European CEN EN standards in November 2023?. Now, the EN 1992-1-1 and the EN 1992-1-2 are available through the members of the National Mirror Group of Eurocode 2 in each country. Please, read “The Origins and Some Highlights on the new Eurocode 2”, by Jose María Arrieta, Jesús Rodríguez and Hans R. Ganz, at the monographic issue of “Hormigón y Acero” journal No. 299-300, with detailed information on unification of the design concrete compressive strength and adjustments of partial factor for materials. https://lnkd.in/dkTF5FtR

TAF’s towers offer you the strength and stability you need when supporting high loads at height. Perfect for outdoor and indoor events, their compact design allows for the efficient use of space. Both #TrussTowers come with a #SleeveBlock, #TopSection, #BasePlate and #Outriggers as standard. The base plate and outriggers on each tower are equipped with spindles that allow for convenient leveling when on uneven ground. The base plate also features attachment points for use with wire ropes, a hand winch or a manual/motorized chain hoist. Ballast can be added with the use of TAF’s ballast frame, making it an integral part of the tower. Tower 1 - Perfect for use with larger roof structures and support of large LED screens - Constructed from TT34 #truss segments with quicklock connection system for fast and easy construction - 7.5 m max. height - 1000 kg max. loading Tower 05 - Light duty tower for smaller setups - Use of HT34 truss with quicklock connection system allows for fast and easy setup - 6.5 m max. height - 850 Kg max. loading - Comes with hand winch and steel rope Contact us on 01922 495 396 or sales@taf-uk.com for more information or to request a price quote. As many of you are aware, the IS 13920 Part 1 & 2 Draft Standards 2024 have been widely circulated. I have just released my first video discussing the IS13920 Part 2 Draft Standard, focusing on the identification of structural elements as Columns or Structural Walls for design in comparison with the current IS13920: 2016 code. Check out the video on my YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/dcFJiDwE #seismicdesign #structuraldesign
