There's too much doing and not enough thinking in recruitment marketing. Marketers are incredibly busy. Often over stretched. And doing too many things that quite frankly, either aren't marketing's job (ala Kieron Mayers post), or there isn't and never will be, a justifiable return on the activity (lots of recruitment Tik Tok for example). Who is your ideal customer What are their problems What do they care about How can we engage with them How can me measure it 99% of the time the lack of thinking is just down to knowing what questions to ask, the areas to look at, when and where to probe, how to say no, and how to present a strategy. Nail that and the rest will fall in to place. And then, you'll know where that missing 50% has gone.
