WHAT TO DO TO AVOID MANY JOB REJECTIONS Getting an interview and sponsorship is very competitive but you have to keep pushing forward. When I was looking and applying for jobs in 2021, I got a lot of rejections and few interviews. Thank God, I aced my first interview to secure the position. Tips based on my own experience 1. Only apply for job vacancies you have meet the requirements 2. Get a good supporting information, CV and cover letter. 3. Apply to job on time. Most jobs has closing date, do well to apply before atleast 10 to 5 days to the closing date because some employers do pick their candidates early. So the earliest you can apply the better the chance. 4. Follow up your application. It is very critical when looking for jobs. In the NHS, every job has the hiring manager and their contact or email address. Also on the Indeed job site, you can also follow up on your application. In the case of rejection if possible find out why your application was rejected. This will help you in the future. 5. Look for the more specialised ones and apply depending on your skills. Example. For diagnostic radiographer position, there is a high probability that a lot of people will apply for it. However, for dental radiographers or MSK or interventional or reporting radiographer positions, fewer people will likely apply for these positions because a lot of radiographers don’t have the skills and expertise needed for these positions.
