It's concerning how challenging it has become to secure employment despite the abundance of job listings available every day. 🤔 Not just in the US... I've spoken to personal contacts and friends who, despite having excellent qualifications and - more importantly - great track records, either just aren't getting interviewed or have been through a succession of interviews to only be told after 4 meetings that the company has chosen another candidate 🤯 As if that's not disrespectful enough, there are companies who advertise open positions, send rejection emails stating that they have "a number of other candidates who better fit our requirements for the role"... only for the role to be advertised again after a week or two with *exactly the same job description* 🤦🏼♂️ Are recruiters relying too much on LinkedIn to recruit and falling foul of the automated rejection "features" or are they just not doing their jobs properly? #jobmarket #recruitment #skillshortage
