I don’t think we talk enough about the appreciative power of philanthropy. The two most common definitions of appreciate are: 1) to see and value the worth of something; and 2) an asset whose value is increasing. The appreciative power of philanthropy, therefore, helps us see the worth of programs, services, people, initiatives, and whole organizations – so much so that others are moved to invest in their continuation and growth.
