Aloha Autonomy is a Hawai'i-based company developing the next generation of autonomy algorithms to enable the full autonomy of a system. Aloha Autonomy offers dedicated Guidance, Navigation, and Control as a Service (GNCaaS) for companies looking to deploy autonomous systems with minimal infrastructure needed. We are developing a proprietary Flight Software (FSW) framework called Cognitive Targeting, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (Cognitive TGNC) in order to leverage existing systems from semi-autonomous to fully autonomous. This system is intended to allow for minimal C2 capabilities required to operate a vehicle, and is intended to allow for trajectory changes to happen in real-time, onboard the vehicle. Cognitive TGNC leverages the heritage provided by Apollo Lunar Descent Guidance, and seeks to enable higher fidelity models of plant dynamics, as well as enabling more robust guidance performance to allow for a variety of vehicle maneuvers to be encompassed using a single FSW module.

In the last few days I have been working on updating Wisk's System Design Descriptions for the first Remote Supervision System capable of monitoring multiple autonomous Passeneger aircraft at once. Autonomous Passeneger Flight may sound to far away, but the way I see it, its going to happen eventually, so let's try and make it happen now and see how far we get. “Aurora and SkyGrid Collaborate to Accelerate AAM.” Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing company, is collaborating with SkyGrid to pave the way for the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) by developing cutting-edge solutions for the integration and management of autonomous aerial vehicles into the national airspace, reports a press release. I'm surprised not more people are talking about the emergence of electric takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOLs). The market size as of 2024 is over $2 Billion USD, with NASA, Airbus and Boeing involved in eVTOL development.
