When I was looking for for companies to intern at, the main goal was sustainable company like this that's doing good for the environment but also has something that's gonna be profitable. Whisk specifically is doing things in Urban Air mobility that no other company is. You get to try a bunch of things and you get to have a really big impact. My main focus is in composites and propulsion. Visual Studio Code extension that was written through TypeScript test planning and ground support equipment development of life test. Each intern brings a new perspective, curiosity and mentors get to actually strengthen their management skills and help their employees grow. Both of my mentors really taught me what manufacturing was. He is definitely a very, very nice and caring guy. Every day we would have office hours for 30 minutes in the morning and I would just ask him all of the questions that I collected the previous day. He gave me some very helpful pointers. Having the experience of managing someone, that it's coming from college, he's full of energy, he's always open to do anything that is in need. That was fantastic. My favorite aspect of working out was by far is the people. It's been really fun getting some of the interns, seeing what they work on and getting to know like their industry. Within this, I feel like I've met so many cool, interesting and smart people and I learned a lot from them. My experience this summer has really fostered that confidence in myself as a growing engineer. There's so many different teams that are in charge of so many different things. The things that you can learn at risk from different people is limitless.

I’m a big believer in the power of internships—they’re how I got my start in the nonprofit and creative agency worlds. If I could give one piece of advice to young adults eager to break into their careers, it would be this: dream big, but stay humble. Be willing to tackle the unglamorous, mundane, and thankless tasks—they’re often where the real learning happens. Put in the hours, soak up every opportunity, and never stop challenging yourself to grow. The key is to approach each day with curiosity and a drive to learn something new and valuable. Don’t let opportunities slip by—they might just be the stepping stones to your next big break.
