[PCNL/ECIRS - Position 5 - Prone split leg position] After knowing the different positioning, can we actually perform prone ECIRS? Yes, indeed!   Back in 1993, Dr Michael Grasso (together with Dr Richard Nord and Dr Demetrius Bagley) described the prone split leg position for simultaneous antegrade and retrograde access to upper urinary tract. They also described the difficulty in performing ECIRS - two skilled endoscopists, dual light sources, various lithotrites, and several rigid and flexible endoscopes - that echoes the issues that hinder the development of ECIRS.
