Audit your interview process. It’s not hard to find good talent on paper these days. However, learning how to interview on behalf of a company is becoming increasingly critical. In my opinion, aligning with candidates on morals, values, and problem-solving skills is even more important with the rise of technological advancements. The next time you have an internal team meeting, have an open conversation around this. - Ask your team why they joined the company. - Ask them how they currently define the company culture or employer brand based on their experience thus far. - As a group, define the problems your team solves both individually and collectively on a day-to-day basis. Aim to leave with a cohesive brand representation as a team and this can help guide interviews. The more unified you are as a team in your approach to interviews, the better the process and interview experience will be. #techhiring #interviewprocess #employerbrand #candidateexperience

Ever been in an interview where you just can't connect with the recruiter or hiring manager? No matter how hard you try? And you know its not you... You're not crazy! Companies need to rethink how candidates are treated in the interview process. Dragging candidates through multiple stages—technical assessments, first-round interviews, and more—only to pair them with interviewers/hiring manager who won’t even turn on their camera or struggle to engage in a meaningful conversation is not acceptable. It takes a lot of time and effort for sourcing teams to build a pool of qualified candidates, and for those candidates to invest their time preparing and completing assessments. To have all that energy wasted on an interviewer who lacks basic relational skills is frustrating and demoralizing. I have had unfavorable interviews that were the best conversations ever, so its not just about landing the role! And Yes, I know they're good at their job and they're the best on the team but it can't always be the candidates fault! Companies should ensure that every stage of the interview process reflects their culture and values, showing the same level of commitment and engagement that’s expected from candidates. Interviews are a two-way evaluation. #Recruitment #InterviewExperience #CandidateEngagement #CompanyCulture #HiringBestPractices

The Overlooked Side of Interview Prep: It's Not Just for Candidates! As recruiters, we often emphasize how crucial it is for candidates to prepare for interviews. But let's flip the script: How much time do we spend preparing ourselves? Effective recruiting goes beyond asking basic questions. It's about: - Diving deep into candidates' project experiences - Understanding their past challenges and problem-solving approaches - Asking insightful questions that reveal true potential Why is this important? - It helps uncover skills and qualities not apparent on a resume - It leads to more informed hiring decisions - It improves the overall candidate experience - It shows respect for the candidate's time and experience When recruiters dig deeper in initial interviews, we may not need 5-6 rounds of interviews. This makes the hiring process swifter and more efficient for everyone involved. :) Before your next interview, spend at least few minutes: - Reviewing the candidate's background in detail - Preparing thoughtful, role-specific questions - Considering scenarios to assess problem-solving skills Remember, an interview is a two-way street. Our preparation demonstrates the value we place on the role and the candidate. #RecruitmentTips #InterviewPrep #HiringPractices #TalentAcquisition Acumont
