Nursery Registry and Set-Up Babies require a lot of equipment and other items, and setting up a registry can be overwhelming as you want to make sure you purchase only the best and most needed products, for the safety and well-being of your child. With my nursery registry and set-up service, I help you (before the baby arrives) establish your baby registry at places such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon, based on my expertise as a long-time caregiver. This service expands into the actual physical organization of your nursery as well, helping you wash, fold, and hang new clothes, stock diapers and wipes, and ensure that the layout of the baby’s room creates a safe, functional, and soothing environment. #rainbowsandconfetti #newborncarespecialist #postpartumdoula #nurseryregisryandsetup Rainbows and Confetti

So, you are having a baby. Congratulations! While looking around your home, you realize you do not have significant places for everything a bouncing #baby needs. In this week’s post, we will talk about ideas for small nursery organization ideas. Come along and figure out what you need to make your small nursery wonderful. Before we begin, I wanted to share some resources to help you find the right items for your small nursery. Below are links to help you determine the best things for your baby's nursery. Crib Safety Tips from US Consumer Product Safety: This one discusses crib safety tips and what to look for when buying one. CDC Information About Infants & Toddlers (Ages 0-3) - this one talks about other things you need to know about infants and babies from the C.D.C. I will add more here when I come across them. Where should I place a nursery in a small home? Being creative and looking closely at your home may be the best way to find the right place for your baby. Below are some suggestions that may help you find the right place. A nearby walk-in closet could be an excellent place for a small nursery. Adding bright colors and extra light could be a fantastic place for your baby. Tiny and tight rooms are great for nurseries. Remove unnecessary furniture that will take up floor space. Having the nursery on the same floor is critical wherever you decide to have it. Now that you have found a place for the nursery let’s figure out what to put inside the small space. What do you add to a tiny nursery to stay organized? Certain essential items are needed for your baby and you to stay organized and less stressed in the early days of your life together. The list of things you need is usually short and easy to get. Disclosure: these links below are from Amazon Associates and if you click through and buy something from them, I will receive a Visit the blog for more details. #sabrinasorganizing https://lnkd.in/e5sJtm7 #Babyroom #Nurseryorganizingtips

In NC, 45 children have died from heatstroke, either because they were left or became trapped in a car. The temperature inside a vehicle can reach over 115 degrees when the outside temperature is just 70 degrees. The majority of hot car deaths — 53% — happen because someone forgets a child in a car. ➡️ About 46% of the time when a child was forgotten, the caregiver meant to drop the child off at a daycare or preschool. ➡️ Thursdays and Fridays — the end of the workweek — have had the highest deaths. ➡️ More than half of the deaths (54%) are children under 2 years old. Hot car deaths don’t just happen when a child is forgotten. The second leading cause — 25% — of such deaths are children getting into unattended vehicles. Remember: check the back seat and lock your car doors and trunk, year-round! Other tips: Create visual reminders Put something you'll need, like your phone, purse, or lunch, on the backseat or next to your child's car seat. You can also put your child's diaper bag, stuffed animal, jacket, or hat in the front passenger seat. Use technology Some cars have backseat reminder technology that can alert you if someone is in the backseat when you turn off the car. You can also use a car seat or motion sensor that reminds you your child is in the car. Some devices that can help include Ride 'n Remind, Steel Mate Baby Car Seat Reminder, Itomoro Baby Car Mirror, and Shynerk Baby Car Mirror. Set reminders Set a reminder on your phone to check with your partner that they've dropped the child off. You can also ask your childcare provider to call you if your child hasn't been dropped off. Be extra alert If your routine changes, be extra alert and don't let your mind wander while driving.

Here are some tips for long car journeys with a baby this new year! 🚙 Feed baby to satisfaction before you head off so that they aren't crying and unsettled with hunger 15 minutes into the journey! 🚗 Ensure baby is positioned correctly in the carseat as per the manufacturers instructions! Some babies really aren't a fan of a carseat but don't respond to the urge to loosen the buckle or turn the seat around! 🚙 Ensure your baby is rear-facing and buckled into their seat for all journeys - even the shorter ones when you realise you've got to pop to the shops to get more nappies because you forgot to pack the ones you had out on the kitchen table! Rearfacing is recommended for as long as possible - even a 7 year old can rearface in the appropriately weighted seat! A child's skeleton is not strong enough to protect their organs during a crash foreward-facing! 🚗 Ensure your baby is dressed appropriately - no coats, snowsuits or other bulky layers as these effect how tightly your baby is actually secured into their seat in the event of a sudden stop! If you're worried baby might be cold. pop a blanket over them once fastened in 🚙 Make regular stops to get baby out as it is not safe for your baby to be in the semi-reclined position a carseat creates for long periods of time 🚗 For babies or young children who eat solids, avoid placating them with snacks while driving as you're not in a position to help them if they start to choke Anything else you can think of? #cryingbaby #supportingfamilies #BabiesAndToddlers #travellingwithababy #newbornclothes #babyled #FamilyLed #postnatalcare #babies #postnatalsupport #newborncarespecialist #londonfamilies #parentingsupport #maternity #extendedrearfacing https://lnkd.in/eG2Dk_J8
