Last week Saturday, I attended my first physical event for this year. Here's everything I benefited from it; (For real, I never thought physical events were as inspiring as this, I would have paid more attention to it earlier 😭) 📌 I made friends. 📌 I learnt from experts. 📌 My "why" got strengthened. 📌 I got to network with like minds. 📌 I got inspired by young ladies in tech. 📌 I got a moment to think outside school activities. 📌 I had the opportunity to join valuable tech communities. ... and lots more. So, if you're there and still doubting the power of attending physical events, you've probably been doing it the wrong way, change your perspective of it and trust me, you'll see the benefits I saw. What's that one thing you look forward to when attending physical events? 📷: 😁 #linkedin #physicalevents #techchefy

I've been hitting up a ton of conferences, and LinkedIn has been my go-to for connecting with folks. Want to know a cool hack? Take a screenshot of your LinkedIn QR code and set it as your phone’s lock screen when you go to conferences. Switch it back after you're done. Makes connecting with people super easy, even when the Wi-Fi is unreliable. #networking #lifehack #transform2024

Took some time to reflect on all the talks I gave last year and understand what worked and what didn't. Also talked about some things I struggled with when getting started with speaking at conferences and how I eventually overcame them. Would love to know what y'all think about the things I mentioned in the blog :) https://lnkd.in/gAZzEaC9 #conference #techevents #publicspeaking #devtools

Have you ever attended a tech event feeling like you’ve wasted your time? You cannot let this happen at #NoCodeTechSummit 🧏🏾♀️🧏🏾 Here are 5 ways to maximize NCTS! 1. Plan Ahead: Before attending NCTS, review the agenda and identify key sessions, or speakers that align with your interests and goals. Planning ahead allows you to make the most of your time and ensures you don't miss out on valuable opportunities to ask questions or start meaningful conversations. 2. Network Strategically: Take advantage of networking opportunities to connect with professionals, speakers, and fellow attendees. Don't be afraid to start conversations or exchange contact information and make sure to be polite while doing it. 3. Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated on the latest trends, technologies, and industry news before the event. This knowledge will not only improve your understanding of the discussions but also help you to actively participate in conversations, making your overall experience more fulfilling. 4. Participate in the activities: Actively participate in the CV clinic where HR experts can review your CV and make career recommendations alongside the transition station where you can speak to experts in various fields. Finally, remember to check out the sponsor booth for their products and offerings! 5. Follow Up Post-Event: The connections you make at NCTS shouldn't end when it concludes. After the event, follow up with your new contacts through email or professional networking platforms. Express your appreciation for the interaction, share any relevant resources, and show interest in maintaining the connection for potential future collaborations. We hope this will help you maximize your experience this weekend at #NoCodeTechSummit You can still get your tickets here: https://lnkd.in/g3p7NKvz

🩷💙 Hiya OC Tech Gals, organizer Ruth 🌸 S. here. I’m planning next event for April or May. To get event invite 💌, you *must* sign up here for event announcements and updates -> https://lnkd.in/degVvXSh (this is how we can filter out unrelated ppl trying to access and ensure quality of attendance) Next event will either be a private *screened* senior techies dinner for 12 (every gal needs to do 10min self intro of tech journey to the group) or a large mixer. Different backgrounds, roles and years of experience may receive different invites. Senior techies will get private invites to certain events. Q&A: some asking how often or when is the next event? Depends on volunteers’ schedule, venue’s availability and logistics for the types of our events (happy hour, private small dinner, large mixer) #womenintech #womenintechnology #communitybuilding #communitybuilder #eventmarketing
