This #SeniorCitizenDay, let’s focus on the importance of vision care for our elders. As we age, our risk of developing eye problems, including cataracts, significantly increases. Unfortunately, vision loss can lead to a rapid decline in overall health, but it doesn’t have to be this way. At Combat Blindness International, we emphasize the importance of regular eye screenings, especially for seniors. Every year, we provide life-changing screenings and cataract surgeries to thousands of seniors around the world, helping them regain their freedom and dignity. Early detection and treatment of eye conditions is key, as it can prevent vision loss and help maintain health and independence. Cataract surgery, for example, doesn’t just restore sight—it restores a person’s ability to live independently, engage with their community, and enjoy life to the fullest! #40YearsOfVision #CombatBlindnessInternational #EradicateBlindness #ChangeLives #GiftOfSight #MakeADifference #AccessToEyeCare

Wow, January was long wasn't it? That was at least six years worth of 31 days! I found January a challenge - busy work (good), the dog needing emergency surgery and losing part of his ear (not good), getting the website ready (good if frustrating) and juggling sick kids off school (both of them! never good) 🐶 😷 🙄 I'm very pleased to welcome in February today and move on with the year! 🎉 At the end of each month, my new Wise Practice offers an online, small group wisdom retreat. It's just one-hour out of your month. And in that hour you will be heard deeply, by yourself and others. You'll be carefully held in a warm, nurturing space built on connection, and encouraged to look back on your month through a lens of growth, learning and ultimately, wisdom. It's a really effective and gentle way to try out reflective practice. ✨ Let's come together and practice how to deepen understanding of our lives. 🗓 Join us at Calendar on Feb 23rd, 12.00-13.00 Get your ticket here: https://lnkd.in/egt6sXiw 👀 For more info on wise practice, take a look here https://lnkd.in/gbSKAhz5 #reflectivepractice #wisdom #connection #onlinegroup #monthlymeeting #empathy #wisdominaction #wiseaction #january #february

I help C-suites, HNWI and Professionals lower cost redundancies and maximize their portfolio returns | International award-winning consultant | TOT | IDA 白金奖 | Let’s discuss your financial aspirations, DM me :)
As we age, our risk-taking must become more strategic. I still remember going on my first road trip with Ryan. We were so fearless and daring, ready for any challenge. It was all about adventure and chasing the next thrilling moment. That felt like a lifetime ago. Now, things are different. We take more calculated risks😝 When you have children, it’s not just about you anymore. The stakes are much higher. The idea of any one of us getting injured or worse isn’t something we can brush off easily. I’ve experienced firsthand how easily an injury can happen. I’m still nursing my spinal injury from a seemingly harmless burpee exercise that could have left me paralyzed without or after surgery. Don’t get me wrong. We still love a good adventure, but we will make sure that we are properly insured and take calculated risks. It’s not less fun. It just makes sense with our priorities. Because we want to be here for our girls and each other for as long as we can. Do you find yourself getting more risk-averse as you grow older too? #wealthmanagement #financialadvisors #financialplanning
