During the 1940s and 1950s, Clinton Duffy worked as a prison warden. He worked hard to rehabilitate the men in prison.
As his efforts became more well-known, a critic said, "You should know that leopards don't change their spots!"
Warden Duffy wisely responded, "You should know I don't work with leopards. I work with men, and men change every day."
I heard this simple story over a decade ago for the first time, and it has stuck with me ever since.
The best part is we can choose who we want to become. To do this we need to "connect" to our future selves.
Here are my favorite ways to connect with and stay connected to our future selves:
1. Create a Vision Board
2. Journal about who you want to become
3. Leave doubters out of your life
Hope you all have a great day and feel an increase of hope for your ability to become your best self.

5moWelcome to my hometown Xavier. Tell each story like no one else can. Aim for the lead story nightly. And make a difference in those communities you cover. Folks are counting on you. At the end of the day--check out the Maryland crab cakes and the summer snowballs with marshmallow--the great sports--and all that Bmore has to offer.
