🛫 Diving deep into the visionary realm of corporate strategy, it's both fascinating and uplifting to witness Boom Supersonic charting a course towards unprecedented milestones. Their unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of future innovation is nothing short of awe-inspiring. I would love the opportunity to gain insight into their approach, I'm intrigued by the intricacies of aligning short-term objectives with their grand strategic vision. The seamless integration of immediate goals within a broader, long-term framework exemplifies the mastery required to shape the future of high-speed travel. In my extensive experience, I've observed numerous organizations mandated to develop "5-Year" plans by their leadership. Unfortunately, these often become mere afterthoughts as immediate challenges demand precedence. Such an approach stands in stark contrast to the meticulously crafted roadmap that Boom Supersonic is engineering for the future – a testament to their unwavering dedication and foresight. #AviationInnovation #CorporateStrategy #FutureLeadership @HNTFU
Since XB-1 successfully completed its first flight, the team has continued to test and confirm the aircraft's performance and handling qualities in final preparations for second flight. Yesterday, XB-1 performed aircraft checkouts, including a 60 knot taxi test, multiple flight control sweeps, and operation of all three engines within their entire range. Following first flight, optimizations made to the aircraft include a modified flight control system. Learn more about XB-1 here: https://lnkd.in/eVb8m5V

The future of sustainable aviation is near....
They say everything is bigger in Texas. It just got faster too. Today at Farnborough International Airshow, we announced that Symphony assembly and testing will take place at StandardAero’s facility in San Antonio. As part of our expanded relationship, StandardAero will manage production, which will scale up to 330 engines annually. Learn more about Symphony production here: https://lnkd.in/ezpY_vdU

Chief Ground Instructor at Miami Dade College Eig-Watson School of Aviation for the FAA Part 141 Pilot courses and FAA Part 65 Dispatcher Courses.
A most commonly asked question in my dispatcher classes. Found on FAA Aircraft Dispatcher written exams (ADX). You need to know. In the U.S. it is not a precision approach. https://lnkd.in/ey7gfY2U

The Harrier — for all its problems along the way — turned into a very reliable and safe aircraft. It has offered a unique capability, and the improvements produced by the H Harrier review panel have contributed substantially to the presence of the F-35B today. The MV-22 Osprey is an incredibly capable aircraft with an expected service life of 50 years. It’s now in its 17th year since initial operational capability, and it is irreplaceable. If the Harrier history is any guide, the reviews of the Osprey, both the past independent readiness review and the current one, should provide the insights we need to make it the reliable and capable aircraft we need for the next 30-40 years of service life. https://lnkd.in/ePSG7AGP

Historic Milestone - The First Mid-Air Refueling In a groundbreaking moment for aviation, June 27, 1923, marked the first successful mid-air refueling. This innovation extended flight ranges and improved safety, paving the way for modern air travel. Pioneers: American Lieutenants John A. Macready and Oakley G. Kelley. Location: Rockwell Field, San Diego, California. Process: Fuel was transferred via hose from one DH-4B aircraft to another. Key Achievements: October 1922: Macready and Kelley set a record of 35 hours, 18 minutes, and 30 seconds in the air before needing to land for refueling. October 1923: A successful flight from the Canadian border to the Mexican border using three mid-air refueling sessions. Impact: This breakthrough significantly improved flight safety and made longer, uninterrupted flights possible, reducing fuel-related emergency landings. #aviationhistory #aviationinnovation #aerospace #flightsafety #technology #engineering #technicalpublication
