As a partner of the National Park Service, we’re proud to support initiatives that improve accessibility for people of all abilities at some of the world's most naturally breathtaking, culturally rich, and historically significant landscapes. National parks are places of belonging, connection, and well-being—transformational places for everyone to enjoy and learn about the natural and cultural wonders of the world. Ensuring our national parks are accessible supports a more equitable and inclusive national park experience for people with disabilities, both visible and invisible. And remember, accessibility benefits everyone, making it possible for everyone to experience greater enjoyment, new challenges, and the vast health benefits of spending time in a national park. Accessible outdoor experiences and educational programs make parks more welcoming to all. We’re so moved to provide vital equipment and programs to support an inclusive national park experience! If I had the financial capacity, I would LOVE to create a purpose-built space for young people. This could solve so many of my challenges as well as many others who I’ve spoken to recently! Imagine a vibrant, welcoming environment where young people are welcomed, accepted, and valued. Where we can lead and facilitate safely. A space where every young person gets a chance and where a community is built. Imagine you walk in and can smell dinner being cooked in the kitchen, the sound of music flows to your ears and you hear young people talking and laughing, you feel young again when you see a group of mates stoked to see each other as they rush into the booth to record a song for their latest album. The moment you enter, you are hit with a feeling that cannot be explained. One of youthfulness, of comfort, warmth, and safety. You feel like you belong and that for just a moment everything is okay and despite life's challenges in this moment your world has paused, and you soak in the youthful essence. Any organisations, funding bodies or individuals willing to chat and see if you’d like to help me make this happen please reach out. #youngpeople #youth #youngleader #community #purposebuilt #youthleadership #youthculture #communitywork #philanthropy #philanthropics #funding #fundingbodies #youthwork #communityconnection #communityspaces #youngchange #purpose #youthengagement #opportunity #meaningful #youthful #communityled #communitydevelopment #resource #empower #youthempowerment #youthvoice Philanthropy Australia Paul Ramsay Foundation Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation

Two decades of success in partnerships and fundraising, creating mutually beneficial opportunities for charities and organisations alike.
Your Park's Reimagining Parks campaign isn't just about adding a fresh coat of paint or installing accessible play equipment. It's about creating spaces that serve the real needs of our individual and complex communities and neighbourhoods. Why do I care? Not because I simply work for the charity but because I grew up in an isolated location in disadvantage. Going outdoors was my saviour. Parks are more than just green patches for nature, but vital centres for social connection and personal wellbeing for people who often have no garden or other access to open, natural space. Parks are where families or friends gather for simple things like picnics and play, where innovative green infrastructure tackles climate challenges head-on, and where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their background or abilities. However if this is the case for you, please know that unfortunately not everyone can enjoy this. This isn't just wishful thinking, it's a roadmap for ACTION after decades of requests. By getting involved and sharing expertise, we can turn this vision into tangible improvements that benefit us all. Let's roll up our sleeves and work together to transform Bristol & Bath's parks into vibrant, inclusive spaces that enhance our quality of life and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. #nature #Parks #csr #reimaginingparks
Did you know that the 580+ parks and green spaces across Bristol & Bath are not inclusively designed? This significantly impacts access for Disabled people, carers, women and girls, minority ethnic groups, and people in low-income areas with at least 200,000 people struggling to use them or locked out completely. Our Reimagining Parks campaign aims to start leading the change. We need to raise £30,000 to kickstart this work. We've teamed-up with Aviva who are DOUBLING every donation! With your support in the next 12 months, we aim to: -Create one exemplar park in both Bristol and Bath that is fully accessible to cater for all physical disabilities and differences -Have one exemplar park in each city redesigned by a woman, with a focus on safety and female-focused activities and facilities -Develop a programme of accessible and enjoyable activities, such as sensory walks, supported play sessions, family activities and accessible gardening, in every neighbourhood in Bristol and Bath to support 2,000 people -Expand our mental health programme (Roots to Wellbeing) and provide out of hours support for people with mental health issues to support an additional 300 people a year, including those in areas of health deprivation, parents and young people. ☑️ Double your donation and reimagine parks with us today: 💻 https://lnkd.in/gsxYgUJ5 📧 community@yourpark.org.uk #accessibleparks #inclusiveparks #ReimaginingParks #ReimaginingParks #FundraisingFriday"

Check out this amazing article in Inside Philanthropy highlighting how Camp Fire is leading the way in making summer camps more accessible and inclusive!
Exciting news! Inside Philanthropy highlights how Camp Fire is making impressive strides in accessibility and inclusion, in collaboration with one of our funders. Through this partnership, we have invested significantly in making camp experiences available to historically excluded young people. We're proud to be at the forefront of this work and to motivate others in the sector to increase access for all youth. Our specialty camps and digital empathy tool are just a few examples of how we're building a sense of belonging at camp for all young people. Join us in our goal to make camp accessible to all by supporting our efforts or exploring ways to increase accessibility in your own programs. “Camp Fire is at the forefront of this work — it is one of the leading camp organizations that is increasing access for populations that have historically been excluded. That focus has been motivating for other peers in the sector to move forward in that work, as well... [with the] goal to create access and inclusion for all youth from all walks of life, to experience enrichment opportunities that will build character and community.” -Yer Lor #Summercamp #Inclusion #Accessibility Alliance for Camp Health Tickit Health Margaret A.
