In this The Fire Break chat, Orange County Fire Authority investigators Chasity Owens, and Scott Kuhlman, President of the California Conference of Arson Investigators, discuss fire investigation, the causes of fires in California, and the increase in lithium-ion battery fires. They explain the challenges of insurance coverage in fire-prone areas, and differences between fire investigation in Northern vs. Southern California. A key takeaway: The importance of proper charging practices for lithium-ion batteries and the dangers of using off-brand chargers. Caution: These two are also very funny. They also have their own podcast, INFOCUS Podcast!

Please teach your young People that fire breaks have been used for over 4000 years. In the Philippines Rice Terasses were constructed, by observing the SALT guidelines. Annually fire was used in Land clearing in the Sloping Agricultural Land Technology. Never burn uphills and never start burning before 7 pm. These guidelines still apply globally.
