This year was filled with historic and record breaking attendance and viewership across women’s sports and leagues increasing in-person and television engagement. 🏐Nebraska volleyball set a new world record for attendance at a women’s sporting event. 🏀Iowa women’s basketball nearly doubled the NCAA single-game attendance record. 🥇An estimated 2 billion fans tuned in to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. ⚽The median attendance for the NWSL increased by 40%. 🏆 The WNBA Finals had its most watched game 4 on record, peaking at 1.3 million viewers.
