After spending a few hours at Gitex/Expand Northstar and breaking all kinds of walking PRs i think its safe to say that AI hype is dying down. I am joking of course. As expected, AI is omnipresent, with companies showcasing it as their competitive edge in virtually every sector. The message is clear: investment in AI is not just a trend but a necessity at personal, corporate, and national levels. Individuals need to upskill to remain relevant in an AI-driven job market. Scaling in the age of GenAI is indeed an exciting yet challenging journey, as highlighted by TJ Lightwala. The way companies are leveraging GenAI to drive community impact is inspiring. I couldn’t agree more that experimentation is key— and it’s unavoidable in tech! However, I would add that while experimentation is crucial, so is calculated risk-taking. In my experience, starting somewhere is only part of the bigger puzzle. We need to ensure that we align innovation with measurable outcomes to avoid experimenting for the sake of it. I’m looking forward to seeing how these insights will be further explored at GITEX GLOBAL 2024.
