The beauty industry is the second biggest employer of women in the UK after the NHS. An industry worth over £40 billion a year in the UK. Yet we still have not seen a commitment by the government to protect this sector if we ever face a pandemic again. This should be part of any parties manifesto this year! The double standard of men's barbers being open before women's salons was a slap on the face for millions of women. It still gets me mad that no apology was given. Anyway some great insights from Caroline Hirons on the SheerLuxe podcast. 💄 The realities of starting a business - universal for any industry 💄 Old school retail skills need to be valued. I would argue if more retailers adopted this, we would see the high street come back to life! 💄 Being true to your values when deciding who you work with. 💄 Setting up of https://lnkd.in/enfvzpuM #beautybrands #beautyindustry #womeninbusiness #femaleleaders #beautysector #skincare #aesthetics #Cosmetology #cosmeticindustry #businesslessons https://lnkd.in/eGve6QRz

Annie Millar (She/Her) • You Women in Bloom Platform/Community/Events for Women 2d • 2 days ago The Naturally Good Expo is happening at Darling Harbour on the 3-4th June and I’m thrilled to be the moderator for a very important presentation on the Beauty stage. The importance of retailers engaging women over the age of 50, a topic close to my heart. I’ll share the stage with Janet Hayward, the founder of Ipsum Skin, Trudi Jaye, the co-founder of Retreatment Botanicals and Kylie Eustace a professional makeup artist and hairdresser with over 25 years of experience. It’s going to be a much needed and lively discussion. This is a discussion that’s over due. I founded Women In Bloom (which is about to launch a new website - womeninblooom.com.au) largely because too many women (in particular women over 45) were feeling unsupported and not represented in the media or by brands. Older women have not been given the recognition or the encouragement they need to navigate the ageing process and age courageously. This is a growing audience, which is hungry for engagement and acknowledgement. They want to live their best lives. The focus has been on the beauty of youth, not the beauty of ageing. Brands and the media have been all about anti-ageing, rather than pro-ageing, and enough is enough. It’s time for businesses and community leaders to not only acknowledge, but embrace and support what has become the healthiest, wealthiest and most active generation in history. This is a huge market. Imagine what can and will happen when these wise women, with vast amounts experience and a thirst for live life authentically, actually do feel seen and heard - we’ll all be better off. Hopefully I’ll see you there.

We took on the exciting challenge of creating a campaign for the launch of ‘Color Cupid’ by WOW Skin Science! The brief was simple: celebrate individuality and self-expression. Our goal was to create a campaign that empowered young women to embrace their quirks and imperfections, aligning perfectly with the brand ethos, "Love Every Shade of Me." Through bold visuals and engaging content, we brought the brand to life. We showcased how Color Cupid supports women in their journey of self-discovery, allowing them to express every mood and emotion unapologetically. Makeup here isn't about hiding flaws—it’s about embracing and celebrating them. Every product became a tool for self-expression, turning imperfections into confidence. Check out the video and experience a brand that understands the beauty of being YOU. Let Chatterbox Communication bring out your brand's voice, creating campaigns that truly connect. #LaunchCampaign #BeautyIndustry #CampaignVideo #Production #NewBrand #ColorCosmetics #NewBrandLaunch Ankrish Bhayana | Jigyasa Gauba | RADHIKA AGARWAL

Founder & CEO | On a mission to impact 5 MILLION Women In Asia I Keynote Speaker I Early Stage Investor I LP
💡 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 - 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘁. 💈 Who hasn't felt the crippling lack of confidence a bad hair day brings? Especially after 50 years in the beauty business, this salon clearly understands women's real struggles. 😂 Don't get me wrong, a great hairstyle certainly makes me feel good, but wouldn't it be amazing if the beauty industry focused less on selling a one-size-fits-all version of beauty and more on celebrating the diverse strengths women already bring to the table? 👊 Confidence does not come from the "most flattering hairstyle." It comes from smashing goals, nailing presentations, and being valued for our skills and ideas, not the shape of our faces. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗜 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Wouldn't it be great if we celebrated women for their accomplishments, their intelligence, and their strength? 👊 Because let's be honest, women are already rocking it in all areas of life, with or without the "perfect" hairstyle. #beautymyth #femaleperspective 👉 If you want to build confidence from within and be confident even on a #BadHairDay, subscribe to ELEVATE's newsletter, https://lnkd.in/ggiAevTg where Uma and I will announce our masterclass on removing limiting beliefs in July.
