Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc.’s Post

Exciting News! The Community Foundation of Broward is awarding Women In Distress a generous grant of $300,000 over 3 years to support survivors of domestic violence. Every year, this grant will empower 150 domestic violence survivors to regain financial stability, breaking the cycle of abuse. Financial abuse is prevalent in 99% of domestic violence cases, making it difficult for survivors to escape. This funding will open doors to crucial resources like transportation, childcare, and housing, along with personalized financial safety planning to prevent future abuse. Thank you so much to The Community Foundation of Broward for this incredible opportunity to serve survivors of domestic violence!
