Did “Barbie" change anything for women in Hollywood? In a conversation about the state of the industry, producer and WIF Board President Amy Baer said “It’s challenging to sell anything to a studio or a financier right now. They want a sure bet, and that’s difficult.” Read more in The New York Times https://lnkd.in/gwjdqvT2 Nicole Sperling

I curate custom learning journeys aligning them to corporate goals for companies that choose to invest in the growth of their employees 🎤 Mentor | Author | TEDx Speaker | CEO @RALM3 | Trainer | Facilitator | Emcee 🎤
The #vision for the #masterminds came in February of 2023. I have #experimented with a few #strategies on how to make it happen and learned a few #lessons along the way. 1. Women in the #corporate world are unlikely to invest in themselves, #financially. 2. Women are more likely to pay for someone else than themselves. 3. Women #entrepreneurs have no problem paying to join these #masterminds to uplift other women and share their expertise! I had a #brilliant idea! There is an #opportunity to #sponsor an #attendee and at the same time, shine on stage, get #professional photos, capture #videos, and get #impactful clips to #engage with the audience on social media. You get #strategic connections for your #business, make #friends for life, get #inspired and #uplifted by other #women, and at the same time, give an #opportunity to another #woman who would otherwise not #invest in herself. WIN. WIN. WIN! For details, check out www.ralm3.com and book time to connect!

This is what happens when Hollywood destroys femininity in women and masculinity in men (emasculated). The agenda is for women to be equal to men, not supporting, balancing or complimenting men. Essentially, women become men, going against their own nature of being cargivers/nurturers. The destruction of gender roles and nucleus family structure. • Mark 3:25, "And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand," or a quote from John Dickinson, "United we stand, divided we fall." • Why can't modern, masculine, strong, and independent career women revert back to being traditional, feminine, submissive, and respectful ladies as homemakers, not only when it is convenient but once and for all? • It is males' nature to be providers/protectors and females' nature to be caregivers/nurturers. • When males and females go against their own nature, they are miserable. Life no longer has meaning and purpose, only resentment towards each other. • Curious? Why do modern women either not religious or want God to be their Match Maker but refuse to obey? • God wants females to have a traditional mindset (being submissive and respectful), to be fruitful and multiply, and "say what they mean, and mean what they say?" • Modern women compete against men and divides. • Traditional ladies and gentlemen complete each other and unite with pride.

Breaking Barriers: The Resilience of @SaraBlakely Sara Blakely's journey from selling fax machines door-to-door to becoming the founder of @SPANX, a billion-dollar empire, is nothing short of inspiring. She faced rejection, setbacks, and heartbreaking tragedies, but she never gave up on her dream. Blakely's positive mindset was her greatest asset, helping her push through obstacles and pivot when needed. Inspired by motivational speaker Dr. Wayne Dyer, she learned the power of visualisation and manifestation, which she attributes to her success. Despite lacking experience in retail or business, Blakely trusted her instincts and challenged the status quo. She saw opportunity in what she didn't know, leading to innovative solutions that revolutionised the shapewear industry. But Blakely's success isn't just about building a business; it's about making a difference. She encourages entrepreneurs to embrace failure, share their stories, and not fear what others think. Her resilience and willingness to take risks have earned her the support of icons like Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon, further propelling Spanx to new heights. Sara Blakely is an inspiration, breaking barriers and showing the strength of women in business. Let's pave the way for future generations, making their paths easier and empowering them to turn their dreams into reality. Working towards turning your dreams into reality? 2023 was touted as “the Year of the Girl” in pop culture—but the top layer of Hollywood power is still, largely, a boys’ club. Women will control a full three-quarters of all discretionary spending by 2028, and they make up 44% of TV viewers on any platform—but there remains a glaring disconnect between the cultural and economic impact of women as consumers, and the way that art and entertainment made by and for them is valued by industry decision-makers. Following the lead of women across the business world, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars—including many of an age that would once have been considered “over the hill” in Hollywood—are creating their own levers of influence to upend traditional power structures and increase representation. That activism looks different, as many things do, in Hollywood. Screen luminaries such as Connie Britton (Deep Blue Productions, Lena Waithe (Hillman Grad), and Reese Witherspoon (Hello Sunshine) are creating new tools for change, including female-led production companies, mentorship programs, and multi-platform business empires built on gargantuan social media followings. Fortune examined the strategies that A-listers are leveraging in a bid to democratize the industry for women less recognizable than themselves. Read more: https://lnkd.in/ekSWivZp

I amplify women leaders | NLP Coach + Founder, Branding and Marketing Agency |🎙️F*ck Saving Face podcast | 📚Simon & Schuster Author | Featured in NASDAQ & Fast Company | 2023-24 Tory Burch Foundation Fellow
Do you know about the untapped potential of women of color in business? DEI has been under attack, despite it being a crucial element for innovation, resilience, and growth! And, women of color remain vastly underrepresented, particularly in leadership positions and entrepreneurial ventures. Here's why you need "us" in your business... In our livestream yesterday, Nicole Smith, M.Ed. (Emotional Intelligence Expert), Jaya Mallik, M. Ed. (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Expert) and I (Branding & Content Marketing Expert) talked about the incredible resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of women of color: ✅ Entrepreneurship Women of color are starting businesses at an unprecedented rate, accounting for 50% of all women-owned businesses started in the last year. ✅ Growth Rates Businesses owned by women of color have grown by 58% in the last decade, outpacing the growth of all women-owned businesses. ✗ Leadership Women of color hold less than 10% of managerial and executive positions. ✗ Barriers Women of color entrepreneurs often face limited access to capital and fewer networking opportunities, which impacts our ability to scale. ➜ It's time for industry leaders and communities to step up, recognize, and nurture the diverse talents and perspectives women of color bring to the table. Let's use our platforms to amplify their voices and experiences. Together, we can drive meaningful change to unlock a future where diversity truly thrives. For us. For our children. For the world. What do you wish was said that isn't being talked about? Leveraging marketing and communication to build financial and gender equal ecosystems especially for women.
The amazing transformation of hunters to artists. This is the entrepreneurial journey of Shatakshi Singh, an Arts graduate and fashion designer who hails from Panna, Madhya Pradesh. She chose to give up a cushy life abroad to fuel hope and enable financial independence for the women of the Pardhi Community. Women, who once belonged to a hunting tribe, are now artists whose work is finding its way into international markets. She explained in such simple, yet powerful words how she was motivated to create her own identity. In doing so, she’s empowered other women to create their own identities. And become financially independent. Some of the things that stood out for me as our conversation unfolded… 1. Geography does not matter. Intention does. 2. Lack of resources does not matter. The will and know-how to get things done, does. 3. The more people discourage you, the harder you will work. 4. When you lead by example, you earn loyalty. That’s priceless. 5. Flexibility and ability to adapt in the face of diversity goes a long way. 6. What goes around, comes around. Invest in someone’s future and they will invest in yours. I am motivated, inspired and humbled. Read the complete story here https://lnkd.in/gMh7h_Nc If you know of similar women entrepreneurs whose stories need to be told, tag them in the comments section. They may well become the motivation and inspiration for another woman. #wicon #icon #womentrepreneur #startupfuding
Women Icons The stories we carry in our hearts, eventually become the stories we tell. Stories, that have the power to bring people together, spark new ideas, lift people up and inspire others to take charge of their own destiny. Just like our #wicons have done. Introducing WICON (Women Icons), a monthly story blog from our Co-founder & Imaginator Vaishali James on #icons who have challenged status quo, flown in the face of tradition, faced different kinds of uphill battles and emerged victorious. In sharing their stories, we hope to bring all relevant stakeholders (#angelinvestors, #angelinvesting) together and motivate other #womentrepreneurs who need that all tiny nudge to give wings to their dreams. 3moThis is super interesting. I think many in the industry took the success of this film, and said "let's make more movies about toys", as opposed to let's make more movies by and for women.
